New Generation Hostel Lake Como

I had a great stay at this hostel, mainly because of the amazing staff and their hospitality. From check-in to check-out, everyone was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They created a friendly and comfortable environment that made me feel at home. The rooms were clean, the facilities were good, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. The staff truly made the experience special.

I booked this hostel in advance, hoping to get a possitive experience. It is my dear fault I did not read reviews on every single possible platform. The hostel is not a hostel the pictures promises it to be. I should add, that basically all the photos used for promotion are fake – there are no such places as in the pictures in the hostel. The rooms were spacious and very nice, the kitchen worked for what we needed. The location is perfect the staff was helpful and the outside hanging areas are great. The en-suite bathrooms were nice.

Was unclean and disgusting. Looks like it’s been a long time since it’s been properly cleaned if cleaned at all. Pictures shown on hostel world are of a different place. Kitchen was disgraceful with only a microwave and a very outdated stove and a fridge. No bowls just a few random plates and only one fork for cutlery! The kitchen is basically a shed outside the hostel. Would not recommend, the only good thing about the stay was my free croissant however that did not make it worth it. DO NOT...

AVOID THIS HOSTEL BY ALL MEANS. This place is literally hell on earth. start So many creepy stares of 50y old homeless men who live in the hostel. We stayed in the 16 bed room. it was AFWUL. No young people/ backpackers. Never had an experience like this in a hostel. There was people who basically live there, who are creepy as hell. don’t even get me started on the smell of these people, the sounds they make. The kitchen is a health hazard and breakfast is non existent, they steal food. Awful.

The receptionist was nice cause didn't make me pay extra for late check in but the next day when I asked for extra blankets I got totally refused so I decided to check out. after being in the living room for a couple of hours, until around midday, I've been basically attacked (verbally) from the staff and kicked out.

There was no locks on the door so anyone could come in. Also, the staff were rude when we tried to leave. Overall we felt super unsafe and dirty being there.

No complaints for the sake of €15 for one nights accommodation. The bed was clean and bathroom was fine. Room had heating and I felt warm. Very strange eerie atmosphere, the Indian staff sit in a little hut behind the right of the front door. No interest in speaking to you just stare at you very weird and uncomfortable. They said there was breakfast in the morning but when I woke up no sign of it. There is no common area or anywhere facilities basically an isolated hut.

The place will do short term for the max of 3 nights. This place should be 10 euros a night the max. Let’s start, they don’t have a proper kitchen..it’s basically a makeshift trailer that doesn’t even have closed ventilation, the windows are covered with plastic bags to not let the “heating” out, but the whole thing is not made to be a kitchen. I had a great stay at this hostel in Como. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the staff, especially Zee, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available whenever I needed assistance. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring the city. Considering the price, it offers exactly what you’d expect. Overall, it’s great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it.

I think, in Summertime, it is a great place. Now, in wintertime, there is no common room which is warm. That means, if you are in a dormitory, you can either be in your bed or you are outside. What was good, was the bed, the staff was very kind and tried their best and the heating in the dorm was working. The bathrooms need to be more clean, this is not just the duty of the staff but also from the guests.

This is the worst hostel that I have ever booked. First of all, they show pictures that don’t show at all the reality of the spaces, which is always misleading. The room in which I was supposed to stay in was so crowded, I believe the beds next to me where like 70cm apart from mine and they have no privacy features whatsoever.
