I had a great stay. I hadn't stayed in a hostel in a few years, and this exceeded all my expectations. I will come back next time I am in the area :)
Fantastic launch pad for exploring the park, 10/10. Highlights include lovely staff, FREE morning coffee, huge kitchen, and comfy warm beds. Nice back deck in full evening light, & self-service laundry was a great help. For groceries, I recommend seeing Wayne at C&J Rumbolt in Norris Point - he has everything, from frozen/packaged meals to local greens & eggs.
Good clean economical place to stay. We used the co-Ed bunk room. Curtains are sufficient to maintain bed privacy with plenty of internal space and head room. Nice socializing with others too.
Helpful friendly staff.
beautiful property, the people were great, staff was lovely
Nice place. Good location and a great vibe
Being one of the only hostels in the area, I had no idea what I was expecting. It was pretty comfortable for a solo traveller. Very clean and everyone was respectful. My only comment was that the front desk wasn’t always staffed (when they said it was), I’m assuming it was due to being later in the season, so when in the common area I felt like I was guiding new visitors on what to do to get service.
Great stay! Beware you’ll have a bit of a walk to get to food if you don’t have a car, and that some of the beds in the dorm aren’t lined up for outlet access But the vibes are good and it’s a great spot to stay if you’re doing Gros Morne :)
One of the best hostels I've been to. Great staff, great facilities, washroom in each room, great porch to relax, have a beer and watch the sunset. Strongly recommended.
Everything was great!
Great place! Would definitely recommend
The facility is nice. They do need window blinds or curtains. The rooms are very bright with the sun. The curtains over each bed don't block the light. Most hostels offer some sort of breakfast. This one does not offer breakfast. It does have a nice, large kitchen with minimal cooking pots, plenty of cutlery and dinnerware.
