Hostel Residence Bentota

Ich bin sehr zufrieden! Die Unterkunft war zentral gelegen, allerdings nicht an der Hauptstraße, wordurch es nicht ganz so laut war. Mein Zimmer war simpel aber sauber (ich habe das Hostel gebucht). Das Bad war auch sauber, etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Pool war toll und der Garten war wunderschön! Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe Tipps und Tricks erhalten und wurde sogar einmal privat gefahren. Frühstück auch gut

The team working there are super friendly but the rooms were not clean at all. Multiple houses within the grounds were very dirty and I decided to leave and not stay the night after the new room which I was moved too after complaining about the old one was also filthy. Hard to call this place a hostel as there was little to no vibe. Probably not suitable to anyone under 40

We had the double single room, which had a nice terrace however the plugs did not work. The kitchen was very dirty and bathroom door lock a bit broken. The hosts were nice however did stain our washing. The pool was lovely though and great proximity to the beach!

Das Mehrbettzimmer war voll und ich hab netterweise ein Einzelzimmer bekommen. Doch das durfte ich mir mit 3 Geckos teilen, die fröhlich an den Wänden Vorhängen und auch auf dem Bett rumgeklettert sind. Der Pool war richtig toll, doch Zimmer und Bad wurden in 3 Tagen nie geputzt.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place was clean, and the garden was beautiful — the little pool was great for cooling off. Sumi 🥳was amazing and always there to help with tips and anything we needed.🤗 The location is great too, with restaurants and shops close by. One tip: grab food and drinks from the street parallel to the beach — it’s way cheaper (a coconut at the beach can be like 8x the price 😅). Totally recommend staying here!

Amazing place! The swimming pool was very clean and the rooms were much bigger than we expected. It’s like a small resort.

Stayed there for 2 nights nice place really looks beautiful and they have great swimming pool, there’s no filtered water tho and I had ants in the shower but overall good hotel and really prime location

Wunderschöne Anlage ! Alles sehr gepflegt . Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und waren sehr hilfreich . Viel zu nett ! Dort war es auch sehr ruhig . Direkt in der Nähe von Strand . Haben uns kostenlos zu einer Mangroven Bootsfahrt gebracht und alles sonstige für uns mit uns zusammen organisiert.

Erg luxe, maar wij kregen wel een kamer buiten de accommodatie. Verder is het niet echt gericht op backpackers, maar meer voor de gepensioneerden die hun tijd hier spenderen

The property is okay, but it’s managed poorly. When we arrived (after a two-day travelling, so we were really tired) there was nobody to let us into our room. There was a property guard (we were told it was his first day at work) who let us in, but didn’t know where our room is. So we had to call with his boss and wait for around 40minutes for somebody to come and let us in the room. The room we got was outside of the main area, and it wasn’t as nice as the ones in the pictures.

great hostel! major things we ran into were facilities not being fully functional (Faucet in our bathroom was broken, lighter in the kitchen not working) and the staff being qvery difficult to find or absent altogether during the day. The room itself, location and pool were excellent!

Overall lovely place to stay. Beautiful gardens as pool although we had a few issues with our stay. Refused to give us breakfast even though listing says breakfast included and was only a ceiling fan not AC, also a lot of bugs in the room and mosquitoes but mosquito net over the bed did help
