None of the amenities mentioned in the listing were present in the property. No Wi-Fi, No Free Breakfast, No water as well. The rooms were filled with bugs and it was not at all sanitary to stay. When asked about all of this to the owner - the owner started howling abuses at us and it was absolutely disgusting. Please never ever book this property.

The beach itself is amazing - it's beautiful, fully accessible, and almost nobody there. The breakfast was also not bad. However, I had an unpleasant experience: 1. The room I got was not the one that was in the pictures (which is apparently saved for walk-ins), but one which was in really bad shape and dirty. 2. The owner tried to double charge me the first night (maybe he really forgot that he asked me to pay right when I arrived, but it's not an excuse after I reminded him).

The location of this hostel is awesome. Super idyllic beachfront property. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Worth staying at if you are in the Bentota area.

Hab mich unsicher gefühlt !

Don’t go there as a female solo traveler!! I stayed for two days and in the second night I was waking up in the middle of the night because the owner came into my room and was laying next to me in my bed! I was scared to death and after multiple times of telling him to leave, he left my bed/room. I locked all doors before going to bed so I assume he used his own key to get into my dorm. I couldn’t sleep all night because I was so afraid he would come back. I was so helpless since the hostel ...

The beach is so close it’s amazing, the food was nice, the people as well. The things in the room were old and disgusting though. When I saw the pillows I almost got sick… according to the owner he just opened it not long ago but the pillows were extremely old and disgusting though, like really disgusting. Lucky I saw it at the end otherwise I could not sleep on them.

I loved it here!! Such an amazing spot right on the beach that’s perfect for swimming. We had a fantastic curry dinner at a table set up in the sand. The staff were so friendly and nice to talk to. My only fault is the female dorm room gets a lot of road noise, mosquitos, and you can hear almost everything from the room next door. It was super hot at night too! Other than my rough sleep, it was my favorite hostel in Sri Lanka.

The host was very kind and offered a lot of help, when needed. His contributor was a bit intrusive at the end, what made us feel a bit uncomfortable and were happy to leave. We were 3 girls travelling, so maybe pay attention towards the contributor.

Great Place!

Das Zimmer war etwas dreckig, außerdem war das Mückennetz nicht geschlossen bei der Ankunft und so waren sehr viele Mücken im Bett. Die Straße verläuft direkt am Zimmer vorbei, deshalb war es sehr laut. Der Außenbeleuchtung war sehr schön und läd zum entspannen ein. Auch die Umgebung ist sehr schön.

First and most important - the people who run the hostel are incredible!! Very nice and accommodating. Cleanliness - the room I was in (private) was nothing like the photos. It feels like they haven’t cleaned since the photos were taken. No mosquito net, no sheet, very dirty mattress, and very dirty mattress cover. I met some ladies who stayed in the newer private and they said it was cleaner. This hostel is in desperate need of a very thorough deep clean. The beachside is amazing!!

Perfect place, nice and calm. Very very nice host, nice room and most important very beautiful shoreline.

The hostel right at the beach. While we were there we had the beach basically to ourselfs. Very nice and welcoming owner. 5 min Tuk ride away from the center. we stayed in the 4-bed dorms, they were pretty clean, nice and had everything we needed. If you have trouble finding it on Google maps, its right beside the turtle rescue, or look for coconut bar on Google maps.

If you're looking for a nice Pl place to chill at an amazing beach without a lot of people around - that's definitely the place for it! Very quiet, beautiful beach, nice food and personal.

Hemos estado muy bien, tanto el personal como el propietario son muy cercanos y atentos. Las instalaciones están en primera línea de playa con hamacas tumbonas y junto al centro de recuperación de Tortugas. Una playa impresionante.Muy buen desayuno. Habitación sencilla y limpia. A 5 minutos en tuc-tuc de la estacion de tren de Bentota. Calidad precio adecuado. Repetiríamos. Muchas gracias al equipo. Istuti.

Most beautiful and heart some stay at Sri Lanka so far, we loved it! We, the owner, is a super friendly and helpful guy who you can have a drink with. The location is super beautiful an chill, right at an empty beach. Just Google Coconut Bar for the location. To sum it up it's a Super chill place to start or end your journey through SriLanka. Will definitely come back asap :)

The owner is a legend. The Hostel Gas a very nice Location right at the beach. I would definitely recommend this hostel
