Atelier Hostel

I loved my stay here, Dean and all the staff are amazing. Dean takes the time to recommend where to go and where to eat like a local. He even sends a recommended itinerary every day in a WhatsApp group so you can do that or gain ideas from it. The next time I come to Singapore, I will stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. Dean, tá tú go h-álainn ("you are gorgeous" in Irish)

While the staff were great & very attentive the overall stay was sub par. After selecting a deluxe bed in the 6 room I was brought to the vault room - which at surface level was fine although cramped as there is very limited room to store luggage. Resulting in everyone’s bags piled together in the room. The bathroom situation was abysmal - the downstairs bathroom sink was broken & covered for the 3 days of my stay. The upstairs bathroom was shared with the remainder of guests & always ...

Really lovely hostel, was very clean and safe and the staff were really lovely. The location in Chinatown is great too. Beds are a very good size and have privacy curtains and lockers.

Das Personal war supernett! Die Lage top inmitten von Chinatown. Obwohl ich in einem grossen 18-Bett Zimmer war, war es sehr angenehm und ruhig. Das gratis Frühstück am Morgen war super! Nehmt den Kaya Toast!!

Lovely location in Chinatown, very friendly and helpful staff with info on how to get around and what to see. Felt secure and was nice to have space to hang out downstairs. Bathrooms and dorms could use some TLC.

Great location in the heart of China Town!

The showers were pretty shit. Didn't love how that was set up. Someone did bring durian into the dorm and the staff handled that great. Perfect location

Amazing stay! Breakfast was delicious, friendly staff and secure with access only through the cafe with a wristband at night. My only complaint is my bed was slightly too small for me (5ft11) so I kept kicking the locker door at the end of my bed. But I would definitely stay again - and want to come back to Singapore

I felt very very warm, welcome and comfortable at this hostel. Was in a great location with walking distance to the MRT, markets and food. The staff were friendly, and the the room was nice. It says on Hostelworld that check-in closes at 11pm, but after talking to the staff that is incorrect.

I would recommend this property! The bed was spacious for a single bed, the location is superb (close to Maxweel food center, Chinatown, a walk to Boat Quay). The only think you have to be aware of is that there are not as much bathrooms (i think there is 1 shower for bed of 6 at the ground floor, and then 2 showers for the second floor). All hosts were so pleasant and you felt so welcome no matter how short your stay is. Value for money especially considering SG prices. :)

It’s very clean and a great location

All in all the hostel was great, especailly the staff. The beds were big and you could put all your stuff right next to the bed in a big locker. The only thing that I personally didn’t like were the bathrooms. There were always wet and often dirty. Otherwise it was a great stay! Would definitely come back :)

Ich war für 3 Nächte dort und habe mich wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich mir ein Bett im 16 Bett Damen Schlafsaal gebucht und trotz der Lage direkt an der Straße es war erstaunlich ruhig. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht hat! Ich würde sofort wieder ins Atelier Hostel kommen!

Sehr schönes Hostel in guter Lage, direkt in China town. Zimmer und Badezimmer/ Toiletten sind sauber. Leider sind die Fenster nicht wirklich dicht, sodass man wirklich alles hört. Auch nachts ist hier leider viel Verkehr.

For a hostel in the heart of Chinatown, it's acceptable. I stayed in the large, women only dorm. It had two shower/toilet combos, which was not ideal. It meant the floor and toilet were always wet. There was an addl bathroom on the same floor, and one on the ground floor (mostly for the cafe guests). PROS: -Good free coffee (it's above a coffee shop) -Filtered, cold water -Good wifi -Very friendly and helpful staff -Right by a metro station CONS -Lite breakfast -Cramped -Limited communal areas

Overrated on Hostelworld in my opinion. The location was great and the staff were so lovely. I appreciated the refreshing drink on arrival and the friendly welcome. I also enjoyed the daily recommendations via the whatsapp group. What’s not clear from the advert is that the common room is part of a café open to the public, which definitely has a negative impact on the atmosphere. The bathrooms are dated and not the cleanest - separate toilets to showers are needed. Not sure i would stay again...

Sehr feines und kleines Hostel in Chinatown. Lage ist super, es gibt gutes Frühstück. Insgesamt wenig Duschen und Toiletten. sehr hilfreiches Personal.

The Atelier Hostel is a very good place to stay in Singapore. It is well located in the middle of Chinatown. The manager of the hostel is very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed the mix between hostel and cafe in the front.
