This place is alright. It’s located right near the Chinatown MRT, and is pretty easy to find. However, the facilities are a bit tired, and although it gets regular cleaning, it feels like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. It also just has some maintenance issues that aren’t a huge deal, but make it feel like the place is not in the best shape (the aircon in my room was leaking next to my bed). The hostel is self check-in, so I didn’t interact with any staff members directly.
Great location. Rooms were ok but bathrooms need updating. I didn't sleep well as fan that is on all night was extremely loud. My remote check in didn't work so I found this a bit stressful as I couldn't get in when I arrived
Staff were lovely and had a good time here. Beds did move a lot and very loud metal lockers. Location is perfect and had a wide range of ages staying in the accommodation making it suited to all ages. We could drop our bags off before which was really helpful
Pretty good hostel, no very social and has many older people staying here (nothing wrong with that).
Hostel itself was good, but let down by lack of atmosphere
Terrible, i left the hostel after 1 h. It’s the cheapest but there is a reason for it Dirty and not at all comfy. I lost 40 dollars and changed hostel Spend a bit more but go in a nice place, at least a clean one
Okay for a couple nights sleep, no social atmosphere. a simple clean city centre hostel
I'll start with the best part - this hostel is at the heart of Chinatown, right in front of the MRT. A great location with easy access to some amazing, extremely aesthetic spots around. The hostel aesthetics of Beary Best Hostel from the exterior is as in the picture, very cute. Otherwise - I'd describe the place is just decent. I found it more reasonably priced than many others on hostelworld, although still expensive for backpackers. The common area is small and only really useful if you're...
If you're just looking for a roof over your head in a great location, you found your place to stay. If you're looking for a social hostel where you meet fellow travelers and have a clean and hygenic bathroom, this might not be for you. It's an okay place to stay one or two nights, but I did not want to stay longer, or spend time there except for sleeping. The guest seem to all live there permanently, which takes away the experience of meeting friends while traveling.
Sucio, personal nada amable y las instalaciones se caen a pedazos. En mi cama había dormido otra persona y no cambiaron la ropa. He ido a muchos hostel, el peor con diferencia. No os dejéis llevar por el precio económico, saldrá caro
Good place to stay near Chinatown and the Market. Nice staff that help you when in need
Everything was very average. The bathrooms weren’t particularly clean and the bed were alright. I’m very glad we only had 3 nights there. The microwave facilities you’re only allowed to use for reheating meals, so take that into consideration as we found eating out in Singapore expensive. It wasn’t a very welcoming atmosphere and no one greeted us at reception. Just average nothing exceptional. Very good location though.
Bad experience. Checked in for 2 days stay (Fri & Sat, Sunday check out) . System reflects as 3 days. When ask at reception, say cannot help. Double check app, cant amend. Was charged for 3 nights stay. What is more horrifying is that there was theft. Someone rummage through the bag although there is no valuables, lost a shirt and a towel. When queried, hostel responded they can only respond after the weekend. NO cctv in room (understandable) but still alarming.
Good place for chilling and remote work. Not for party and that kind of stuff
The hotel need to take cleaning more seriously.
More then 2 weeks in the hostel, I would do it again, quite and very chilling place to be and to discover the city.
the hostel was better than we thought, but you don’t get any covers for the duvet. but the location was really good, very easy to get to and chinatown is really nice! it is a very good hostel if you’re just staying there for the night and then exploring the city in the day
Great budget-friendly stay! The hostel provides cozy accommodations and a vibrant atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the common areas are perfect for meeting fellow travelers. A fantastic option for those seeking affordability and community while exploring the area.
