Great location, super secure and friendly staff! It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I opted for a 6 bed female only dorm and it was great for a solo weekend trip! I felt very safe the entire time, and enjoyed the friendly company of the staff. The beds were fine, and great having a curtain for privacy.
The staff is great and obviously do their best. The rooms are cramped you can’t even sit up properly on your bed. When I got there it looked like my bed had been used. Small and not very nice looking bathrooms. For a hostel that’s very much on the more expensive side it’s not worth it. Not a very social encouraging hostel either most people just there for work.
Good place, you get what you paid for I suppose when staying in a 18 dorm (earplugs are a must), only real criticism is the crazy cost for the lockers, £6 a day to keep your things safe really adds to the cost of your trip, otherwise good location and nice staff, but still the overall cost for the room/stay is a bit excessive for what you’re getting.

+ Stayed in a dormitory of 6 girls. Shower were good. Had to get up very early and staff very helpful and freindly. The location is just magic, next to the train station, next to the bus to aeroport and next to castle, grassmarket etc.. Will definitely go back . Thanks And nice 25% if you eat in front to belugia

+ Localização ótima! Tem cortininha pra dar mais privacidade e luz própria da cama tbm. O pessoal na recepção bem educados também. Mas não vale o custo benefício.
- Quartos super barulhentos. As portas batem muito ao fechar. Quem fica na cama de cima fica com uma luz verde na sua cara. O café da manhã é uma vergonha. Melhor nem falar que tem café… só tem iogurte, cereal, pão, presunto e queijo. Não custaria fazer um ovo mexido e colocar frutas… Quando estávamos lá o bebedouro quebrou. Os banheiros são fedidos e a pia não é feito pra mulheres. Você não tem espaço pra colocar um estojo de maquiagem nem tomada pra secar cabelo ou arrumar com babyliss. Não vale o preço pago!

It’s a budget hostel, so expectations are low. Rooms are very small, which is acceptable for the price. However, the beds are poor and uncomfortable, and the floor was dirty, which is not acceptable even in a cheap place. The bathroom is inconvenient, with separate hot and cold taps and no way to mix water. It doesn’t need to be modern, but a basic level of cleanliness and functionality is missing.

This hostels just a cash grab for desperate travellers. First of all the bathroom situation: there is ONE shower and two toilets for the entire hostel. The shower door literally broke off and was leaning against the wall on my last day. The toilet paper in the bathrooms would constantly clog and literally could not wipe my butt. I also booked a coed room as a girl and they literally only paired me with 70-year-old men.

- The shower in the 4 bed female dorm was so tiny my shoulders and his didn't fit. It was a very small space for 4 beds. I suggest a twin.
