It’s a good place to stay at for a night or two in Edinburgh. The location is absolutely incredible, right in the heart of the old town, and the staff is really friendly. As for the rooms, I only stayed for one night, but one thing I did miss was the lack of a functioning socket by the bed to charge my phone. The rooms were fine otherwise, you each get your own locker (you need to bring a lock) and it isn’t cold at all. Bathrooms were clean, as well. There is a bathroom specifically for wome...

- O quarto ficava com a janela direto na escada de passagem, sempre que alguém entrava no hostel fazia muito barulho para entrar e quando subia as escadas. Chuveiro ruim e aquecedor do quarto não esquentava.

+ Great location, in the city centre and near the train station.
- We didn't get a room in the main building. Our room was located in a building at the stairs to Waverley Station. There was a lot of noise all day and all night. The view from the room was the most hidious one we have ever had in 30 years of travelling (see picture). The atmosphere in the main building was zero. Not one single smile from staff or other travellers during our stay. What a difference with other backpacker's accommodation in the UK...
+ Posizione strategica, unico piccolo 'warning': essendo così in centro, la vivacità della zona si fa sentire anche di notte. Per chi ha il sonno leggero come me, non è proprio un'oasi di silenzio assoluto 🫣😂, ma il vantaggio di uscire dal portone e trovarsi già in mezzo alle bellezze della città ripaga di tutto. + A localização é perfeita e a vista das janelas para a rua é incrível.
- Para começar, acho a relação custo benefício muito ruim. Já fiquei em hostel muito mais barato e de qualidade infinitamente superior. A falta de cortinas nas camas, para dar mais privacidade, é um fator muito negativo. Além disso, a limpeza não é o ponto forte do local. O banheiro estava sempre sujo e os vasos sanitários sempre cheios de “lembranças”. Aluguei uma toalha de banho e me deram uma de rosto. O staff é pasivo agresivo (salvos excessões). A gente se sente a todo o momento como um hóspede de favor numa casa, não como um gest de um hostel relativamente caro. Mas o pior de tudo foi a surpresa no momento do checkout: eu tinha o meu voo de volta para a minha cidade pela noite, e entre o checkout (10h) e o horário do voo eu planejava ficar na sala do Hostel trabalhando um pouco, mas fui informado que eu não poderia ficar dentro do hostel após fazer o checkout. Disseram ainda que eu poderia deixar minha bagagem pelo preço de 3 libras. Eu nunca vi isso na minha vida antes! Em todos os hostel que me hospedei sempre podíamos ficar no hostel aguardando o check in ou após o check out. O hostel tem muitos voluntários no staff, e a impressão que eu tinha é que aquilo era um clube deles e a gente estava sempre incomodando.

+ El lugar es muy lindo y está súper ubicado. La atención de Sergio y el chico uruguayo en español muy buena, cálida y simpática.
- La cocina es un poco chica y a veces no podés cocinar cuando todo el mundo está ahí. Tuvimos un inconveniente con un voluntario en particular pero se resolvió rápidamente por el manager y entendemos que el resto de los voluntarios de 10.
