Great hostel to relax. Not much to do other than surf or hang out in. The staff was really nice and the host took us and the other guests out for a ride into the sunset which was great!
Lovely friendly hostel, staff went above and beyond taking us to 1770 in Cadillac and picking us up from the bus! Bed comfy and rooms clean- good vibe!
The staff were more than welcoming — we really felt like we were part of a family. The young blond guy welcomed us with a big smile, and the older gentleman was incredibly kind and gave us great advice for the rest of our road trip and much more. Thanks to him, we were able to rethink our plans during the floods. The rooms and the bathrooms were also very clean. The hostel is close to the beach, and there is a restaurant within the hostel where you can eat if you didn’t have time to do yo...
Best place ❤️
Had a nice time, enough parking available, even used a surf board for free :)
Super cute hostel and amazing staff
Everything was just perfect! The owner was the nicest and helped a lot with planning the road trip. Lovely place, so close to the beach.
This place had the most welcoming staff and such a good vibe!! The guys were so helpful with all the tips we should do around town and were so accommodating with special deals in the restaurant and being able to have a shower before the bus after check out etc! Will stay here for sure next time I’m in town!
I wasn't sure what to expect as was only staying here as a stop gap on the road but I can honestly say this place is AMAZING! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home showing us places to visit ect. They went above and beyond. it was very quiet when I visited but there is a lovely relaxed social area to chill out in. Ths beach is only a short walk away. The greyhound is a 10 min walk away and was dark when I arrived but the staff were amazing and got me to the bus!!
Amazing place! Loved the vibe:))
solid. Its a bit far off the city center but it was a nice relaxed stay. The beds are quite shaky though. First impression wasnt good, but it got better over time ;) nice common areas
The staff and facilities at this hostel were really good. It’s about a 10/15 minute walk from the shops and greyhound bus stop and was a little quiet but the perfect stop between Rainbow beach and Airlie beach. Not the most social hostel but does have a very nice vibe.
So beautifull
Loved loved loved this hostel!! Highly recommend ✨
Ist etwas gruselig aber trotzdem super liebe Menschen dort.
1770 YHA was perfectly fine for a couple days to have a break from the busride between Airlie beach and Hervey bay. It was very chill and quiet when we went so not much atmosphere but very relaxing. There were like 3 other people in our dorm including an old dude who seemed to live there. The lounge was very comfy and had access to netflix. There's not much to do around the area but we recommend hitchhiking to the tip of 1770 lookout. if you go far enough you can sometimes see wales and turtles.
A very average stay. The staff are great and so are the services but the location sucks.
Smelly room
Wonderful place. Wonderful staff. Cannot speak highly enough of it.
Really quite and not much people there. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm room and there were 2 quite old men ( 60 years) sharing the dorm with me, which made me ( 20 year old girl) feel really uncomfortable. Lots of other elderly people as well which seems weird for a youth hostel. Staff and owner were really friendly but not at the reception very often. Free breakfast was nice but not really reliable. They advertised it to be out from 7 to 9 but sometimes they only put it out an hour late.
