Bykerstops @ prabhus place Ooty

Loved it here!!!

at MIDNIGHT the staff FORCEFULLY wakes me up and asks to take my bags and move to another dorm, absolutely horrible to even disturb someone sleeping but to move them? Why? because in the dorm I was staying, there were 2 other who went out and they alloted those beds to new people, who refused to move, I had nothing to do with all that mess. The dorms and bathrooms are extremely DIRTY condition. No rules for noise late at night . They've listed male/female dorms but actually all are mixed dorms.

The place was an absolute mess. It didn't live up to the expectations of any sort that was mentioned in the site. The only positives to say are the location which was right at the city centre,staff was nice. That's it. To start with the negatives the dormitary itself was not ventilated, the only opening other than the main door was a sliding window(ofcourse keeping that open on the ground floor posed a security and privacy threat), the bathrooms were severely under equipped- no showe head.

No water in toilet, no jet sprays after you poop. Dirty bedsheets, dirty pillows. A free stay has better facilities

Overall a really great hostel in a great location. There were some minor problems, like the doorway for the bathroom being short so I would hit my head on it, and I'm not extremely tall, but still a positive experience staying there.

The place is veey good but does not have any facilities. Good for travelling alone or with friends. Not for family. Washroom is clean but was clogged in the room.

Pretty good place. People were nice. In the heart of Ooty so a little congested but apart from that all good.

Staffs were good but no wifi in the dorm and there were no shower machine in toilet

The place was undergoing renovations hence the stay was mediocre. There were water issues and the staff weren't very proactive - Not at the desk most of the time. Hopefully the place will be better once the renovation/ expansion is complete. Make sure to check with the host about the same.

Really enjoyed staying at Prabhu's Food was good and good value for money Was a pretty chill quiet vibe but ticked the boxes of what we were looking for

We paid around 3.5k per night for a dorm of 4 which is not at all worth it. 1k per night for 4 beds is apt. Rooms don't even have a fan. I get it that ooty remains cool for most of the year but there are times when a fan us required. Washroom is shared with cleanliness issues. The property is an eternity old. Location is great and the property is around the city center.

Prabhu's place, a best place to stay in ooty. Whether you are solo or with family this is the place you need. Very well-maintained property with mannered staffs to make your stay easy and cozy! I loved this place and this will be my all time stay place whenever I visit ooty! Also, it is very near to few of the famous places in ooty. Highly recommend to everyone looking for hostels/stays in ooty. Prabhu's place: A home away from home ❤️

I really liked this peaceful stay and the lady running the hostel is really nice and friendly. The food is homemade, good parking space, right in the center of the city. Overall a very homely feel. I didn't meet many people during my stay there, it was rather quiet. If I'm going to Ooty, this is the place.
