The Journey Hostel

Hostel tres bien placé. L’ambiance était inexistante, nous étions les seuls présents dans l’auberge pendant toute notre séjour, ce n’est pas ici que vous vous amuserez ou rencontrerez du monde. La cuisine manque réellement de propreté. Un bon coup de rafraîchissement à l’hostel ne ferait pas de mal. La literie était moyenne. La chambre et la salle de bain basique. Bon prix pour une chambre privée mais cela ne vaut guère plus.

This hostel is fantastic, such good value for money. It is located right in the city centre, walkable distance to the shops, cafes, restaurants, and bus station. The kitchen is well equipped, however could be kept cleaned. The rooms are so spacious, with comfortable beds, AMAZING hot showers, and a TV! the temperature was cool as Boquete Is in the mountains. The owner was extremely friendly and always happy to answer questions. Yoga mats and a workout space was also available!

The Hostel has a great location right in town and the Host is really helpful with everything you need. The rooms are basic but clean and the kitchen is quite well equipped (for a hostel kitchen). Overall I would definitely stay here again.

The single room was great. The bed was very clean. The bathroom was okay. There was hot water. The staff member was always very friendly. It was very quiet. I hardly met any other people.

Heisses Wasser in der Dusche. Küche +Esstisch nah beieinander,sehr gut! Bemühung des Hosts für eine Tour zum Baru, war sehr gut. Zimmergprösse gut. Empfangsbereich freundlich + häufig besetzt Küche weniger gut ausgestattet, hätte eine Grundrenovietung nötig. Leider ist der Gartenbereich nicht zu nutzen. Keine Liegen, Stühle verschmutzt. Sicht auf die Waschmaschinen, die leicht mit einer spanischen Wand zu verhindern wäre. Das würde das Hostel sehr gut aufwerten.Denn es hat viele ...

Really friendly staff, always willing to help with everything! The hostel is really cheap; we stayed for a couple of nights. The location is perfect — you’re in town within a minute, and while we were there it had a total Christmas atmosphere. There is a church nearby whose clock rang way too early in the morning on weekends, and multiple times. We had a private room and the bathroom was not clean. Hairs, spiders everywhere. Also the kitchen wasnt that clean.

Room was clean and comfortable, hot water showers. Staff/Host was great and gave great recommendations. Wonderful value for money spent. Kitchen was like every other hostal, dirty and unsanitary. Host did replace dish sponge upon request. Laundry wash & dry for 5$.

Pretty basic but good for a private room on a budget. Guy on reception was helpful re activities.

Great Hostel in a great location in Bajo Boquete. Close to bus station and all coffee shops and restaurants. Staff is very helpful and knows all local activities

Decent WiFi for working, not a sociable place, not the cleanest kitchen, convenient location in the town

Host was super friendly and helpful and gave us really good recommendations. Also, showers have warm water. Laundry costs 5$. He organised a night shuttle to go to Volcán Baru for 6$. Definitely recommend

The guy on the desk was super helpful for hiking advice in the area and even let us use the hiking poles for free! Kitchen is well equipped and the location is great.

(+) Great hostel with a cosy atmosphere. Great location in Boquete. Clean facilities. Friendly owners. (-) Only issue was there was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom!

Dit is echt een fantastisch hostel! De voorzieningen zijn perfect, de host is echt heel vriendelijk en ook de kamers zijn echt goed. Ook kun je gemakkelijk reizen van het hostel richting Bocas del Toro

Das Hostel hat eine gut ausgestattete Küche und es gibt kostenlosen Pancake Mix, mit dem man sich selbst Frühstück machen kann. Zimmer war in Ordnung und der Preis war gut. Leider war die Sauberkeit nicht so gut. Müll in der Küche wurde in unserer Zeit dort kein einziges Mal geleert. Tagsüber war die Rezeption zeitweise nicht besetzt.

AMAZING HOSTEL! We felt so welcome, the host was so nice and it’s great value for your money. It even has a kitchen and a nice garden with grass. Thank you so much!

Had such a great stay here. ***Unreal*** value for money (we had a telly in our room which we could not believe), located close to everything, the private room was really spacious (photos don’t do it justice!), even has a little garden. If you’re looking to get away from the hostel vibe for a bit, this is your place. Kitchen is small but does the job. Staff are so so helpful and on top of it all you get a discount at a delicious pizza place.

Nice enough hostel, we got a good deal on a private room. It doesn't really feel like a hostel, no vibe whatsoever. Cheap laundry available and the kitchen was usable but quite basic.
