Spacious rooms, in a hostel very close to the Carcassonne Castle. You get what you paid for, its a 3 star hotel.
Firstly, the reception is closed between 12-3, which is a really odd and inconvenient thing for a hostel to do. I didn’t know this and had to wait outside for 2 and 1/2 hours. When I was let in I was greeted by a rude and dismissive receptionist who told me it was my fault. The rooms itself is cold, they insist that if you use the kitchen supplies in the room you must clean up after yourself but don’t provide soap or sponges to do so. Bathroom is okay, the breakfast you buy is not worth it.
Perfect for our needs. Bright, clean, quiet and close to the cite. The kitchenette was very useful too. Good continental breakfast. I would definitely recommend this as a budget hotel trip to beautiful Carcassonne!
EXCELLENT VALUE! youre super close to the castle(3-5 minute walk) and a very quiet area. and for a little more euro than a typical dorm style hostle you can get a private room with a kitchen bathroom and windows. also for a little extra euro breakfast & coffee is included which was very tasty(breads/ pastries, cereal, yogurt, nutella). One downside is you are charged quite a bit of euro for many small things(dish cleaning kit, late checkout, etc.) but they are very clear about this so there is n...
My favourite stay in Europe. I cannot daily it. Amazing location to the castle / village, friendly staff and spacious units. The breakfast is optional, which is good you can opt out if on a budget.
