decent hostel for the price. nothing super fancy or new but did the job. my room was very basic (though the rooms upstairs were a bit nicer). pros: nice staff, nice common areas including a full kitchen and outdoor patios, air conditioning was excellent. reliable hot water. not the most exciting part of town but it felt safe and was a quick walk to the good stuff. cons: wifi cut out occasionally, but usually back in 5-10 min, and the shower water pressure was pretty weak.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I booked for 2 nights but extended for 2 more nights. Pros-Quiet, delightful, free water, will hold your luggage in a spacious locker on checkout day if you need to come back later, no fee or extravagant fee for paying with credit card. Cons-Further than most hostels from main square, good if you want to get away. Continental breakfast is not free, there is a small charge, but this seems to be the norm as I’ve not found free breakfast in Valladolid, so I’m not sure it’s a Con.
I loved this homie little hostel. The owners were amazing very helpful and answered every question I had. Nice for a chill layed back hostel. Good for studying and being in a calm place.
Nice little quiet hostel. It was kept tidy and the kitchen was great. Comfy beds with working AC! Staff were also really helpful with advice of things to do around the town!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you :) Stay here if you prefer a quiet place to relax. Dorms are for four people only and we had pancakes 🥞 for breakfast 👍
I loved every minute of my stay at Las Cruces. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Overall decent stay, but the room gets super hot during day even if the fan is on, because AC is only on 7pm-7am, so you wake up very hot quite early. Property was clean. Beds were fine. Locker is big enough for big bags and comes with a key which is great, since some places charge extra for locks & keys. Hostel overall was nice but super quiet when we stayed because it is off season. Location is a short walk to the main square, which is very handy.
Très bonne auberge. De nombreux équipements sont dispos et la chambre était en très bon état. L’auberge est à 20 min du centre ville à pied. Je recommande
Really good experience and really good vibes !
Cozy place with great staff! The breakfasts were delicious! Beds were comfortable. It's maybe a kilometer walk from the center of town, but it made for a quiet and safe location.
Really nice little hostel with a homey feeling to it. Pretty good location. The guy at the front desk Emilio was so sweet and really helped me out with amazing and real recommendations for what to do in Valladolid and how to take a tour to Chichén Itzá cheapest l. Was only there for one night but could get my stuff stored in locked safe the whole day I was on tour.
Emilio was lovely. Quiet, pleasant place near the center. Private room was basic. The bed and pillows were threadbare. Bathroom and shower were subpar, not the cleanest. Free breakfast was nice.
The manager spent a lot of time helping me + others practice Spanish. He speaks very slow and clear and made me feel more optimistic about my progress. The facilities were fine and the free breakfast was good. I had some quesadillas + fruit.
Had a really nice stay at Hostal las Cruces. Everyone is really friendly. And they even helped improving our spanish ;) the rooms are supersweet and clean.
I booked this hostel after not enjoying my first hostel in Valladolid and I stayed 2 nights but I wish I had extended my trip just to stay in this hostel! All of the staff are lovely & friendly and ready to help people with any questions or travel advice for Valladolid. I felt right at home from when I arrived, the beds are comfortable, there is plenty of herbal teas and coffee available whenever you want it. Also I spent a few hours watching Netflix that they have on the livin
Great stay, really helpful staff
Hostal Las Cruces feels like you are in your Mexican grandmother's home, it's small, cozy and super colourful with a lot of attention for detail! The front doors are open during the day and the staff is always there for answering any questions you might have. To be honest they were amazing and super helpful, with great advice for food and activities in the area. We really enjoyed it, felt secure and would definitely come back here!
