Finn McCool's Giant's Causeway Hostel

If you want to see the Giants Causeway and not even worry about driving. It’s in walkable distance cozy little place with a sunroom and a common area regular beds and bunks and lots of privacy.

L’emplacement de l’auberge est vraiment bien, il y a un arrêt de bus juste à côté, et il suffit de marcher quelques minutes pour atteindre la chaussée des géants. De plus le personnel est agréable. Par contre, l’auberge est vraiment vieillissante et les photos ne sont plus totalement représentatives de la réalité, les fenêtres des chambres laissent passer énormément d’air, il y fait donc très froid.

Just spent 2 nights at Fin McCools Hostel I can only think that the photos on the Hostel World website were taken a good while ago. This is in desperate need of refurbishment and in its current state, is very over priced. Staff were fine but faced with an unenviable task of keeping the place going. We drove past the building twice thinking “That can’t be it - it looks like it’s no longer operating.” No hot water in the hand basins which we were told was ‘policy’. Poorest hostel I�...

Superbe emplacement à quelques pas du site de la Chausée des Géants. Chambre et parties communes fonctionnelles et propres, mais les deux salles de bains pourraient bénéficier d'un rafraichissement. Personnel très serviable.

A great stay. Beds were comfortable. The only thingthing that let the place down was the cleanliness of the room and living areas. There was some questionable plugs too. Great location for exploring the coastline and a lovely view from the hostel.

Un excellent accueil mais l'auberge est vétusté, mal entretenue, les robinets ne fonctionne pas, pas d'eau chaude, grille pain en panne, matelas directement au sol, chambre de 6 trop exiguë, pas de tablettes, de lampes de chevet, peu de prise, sécurité électrique inappropriée. Necessitd une réhabilitation pour honorer la prestation d'une auberge de jeunesse digne de ce nom. Nous sommes habitués à loger en auberge de jeunesse et très mécontents d'avoir payé cette somme

Really lovely staff- but dodgy electrics & an unfriendly atmosphere on the night we stayed.

The one benefit of it was the location. It was fine for a night but felt dirty and unsafe. There were many issues like leaky ceilings, broken kitchen things, and badly DIYed bunk beds that were unstable and uncomfy. The bathrooms had been shoddily covered in vinyl to cover up the obvious damp/mold issue. It was a mean business model relying on volunteers to try to run a falling apart hostel. It needs ripping out and redoing. It seems like the owners put in as little effort + cash as possible

Fantástica ubicación a escasos minutos andando de la calzada de los gigantes, lo que te permite visitarla sin pagar el parking de allí. Flexibilidad para la llegará y check in. Desayuno no incluído. Lavandería disponible con pago extra. Varios baños disponibles, que facilitan su uso aunque sea compartido (el pestillo se podía abrir por fuera). Limpieza mejorable. Pequeña taquilla para dejar tus pertenencias (usando tu candado).

Great place! If you’re going to Giants Causeway, this is the place to stay.

le stanze sono veramente troppo piccole, a malapena c'è spazio per scendere dal letto. E solo 2 bagni con doccia sono troppo pochi.

The Kitchen was well equipped but dishes were stacked up to be washed and others were left to dry on the drainer. There were signs around saying please wash and dry your dishes. Tea towels were always soaking wet. I believe this was the staff who left the mess. The showers were terrible, badly maintained. There was no hot water in the upstairs bathrooms and no where to dry clothes.

Best Staff ever! Definately worth coming again!

Perfect location for the Causeway However the rooms were a bit dirty, there was stuff left in lockers, there was mould in the bedrooms and bathrooms Also very very very cold in the room even with the heater on full blast - probably also aided by the fact the bottom bunk beds are on the floor The top bunk beds have no side railings so not good for children Honestly though, if you’re not fussy and need a cheap place to stay for the Causeway this wouldn’t be too bad

Matratzen sehr durchgelegen und Schlafräume sehr dreckig. Badezimmer relativ sauber, allerdings hat die ganze Unterkunft ein extremes Schimmelproblem und sollte dringend renoviert werden. Küche gut ausgestattet, wundervoller Wintergarten. Personal nett. Wenn die Unterkunft nur zur Hälfte belegt ist, werden die zwei Badezimmer definitiv nicht ausreichen, in der Nebensaison hat’s aber gerade so gereicht. Die Lage ist zum Wandern unschlagbar gut.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay at Finn McCools despite worrying reviews. To our dismay, the most recent reviews were rather accurate. Facilities are out of date and cleanliness is absent (this includes an unpleasant “bedbug” visitor discovered in morning removing our sheets. You make the choice, but we wouldn’t stay again. Avoid

J'étais venue y'a 9 ans j'avais un super souvenir... Ben j'ai créé de nouveaux super souvenirs... L'accueil au top... On est en famille... C'est cool. Je reviens l'année prochaine ♥️
