Casa Maria

When I arrived I wasn’t told that there was no water available. I was then lied to repeatedly. I was told there was none in the town, then it would be fixed soon. Then it had been out for 5 days. Then I found out it was just me and the owner let me have a shower upstairs. You can not use the kitchen. There is not even cutlery. She hires the kitchen for $3 a day. The owner is really unfriendly and just continually asks when are you leaving etc. There is no balcony with the room.

Most affordable private room around. Basic, but good. Secure, quiet, decently located. You do have to pay extra for using the kitchen.

We were looking for a budget room for two, and this was the cheapest option we could find. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the room was more than sufficient. Great price, quiet location, yet only a 3-minute walk to the city center.

The hostel is in a quiet place in the end of the street, feels safe. The room is simple, we didn’t need a lot but there is no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. The kitchen requires an extra fee. However Maria&Julio are very attentive hosts and were helpful during solving some problems.

El lugar es muy lindo acogedor, calidad precio excelente, las habitaciones están muy bien, es una zona tranquila y céntrica donde puedes acceder caminando a la playa con mucha facilidad definitivamente volveré.

We book in advance a long time ago and when we showed up we were told there was no room available. The owner was gone, not possible for the renters over there to contact the owner either to remove this hotel from the website or cancel any booking.

Really nice stay here, the family were very lovely. The only thing I have to fault is that the wifi did not work at all.

Maria was a very nice and helpful host. The accomodation was located close to many restaurants, shops and the beach. Muchas graçias por todo!

Had a great short stay here. A bit disappointed about the kitchen facilities and having to pay a bit more to use them but was otherwise perfect for what we needed

Nettes Zimmer in guter Lage. Die Zimmer unten haben entweder kein Fenster oder eines zu einem fremden Bad.

It's a nice place and it has all you need. The only thing is that there is no bathroom door in the room, so no privacy! We had to pay an extra fee of three dollars for using the kitchen.

You need to pay extra to use the kitchen. Never seen anything like this. All the rest was good

Amazing stay. A nice quiet place to stay a few steps from the main city. Maria was very accommodating and friendly. Great value. Would recommend

Hostel cancelled/overbooked us. When we arrived they just told us they didn't have space and couldn't help us. If you book here, maybe confirm/check ahead before arriving.

Fijne plek net buiten het centrum. Maar binnen 10 min ben je in het centrum en sta je op het strand. Alles op loopafstand. Maria is een vriendelijke dame die behulpzaam is en je een fijn verblijf gunt. De kamer is gelegen op de 1ste verdieping en je hebt een eigen ingang. Het is een basic kamer, daar is de prijs ook naar.

location: just tucked away from the main drag on a quiet street maybe 4-5min walk, very safe, lots of families. rooms: spacious privates with a large bed and fan, clean and open concept with a ensuite bathroom (no door). The rooms have big windows so heat isn’t an issue and cools down nicely with the breeze. atmosphere: it’s a 3 room casa so very quiet and tranquil with a wrap around balcony to sit and enjoy the outside.
