The Drop Inn Kandy

Nice cheap hostel for one or two nights in Kandy. Was no one else there when I stayed so definitely not social but bed was super comfy and it’s well located. Close to Kandy lake and the temple of the tooth. Great value, would stay again

Super laut, dadurch das es keine Fenster gibt sondern nur Gitter ist der ganze Lärm von außen da. Man hat kaum ein Auge zu bekommen.

Very clean hostel with nice facilities. The owner was also very kind and helpful. He helped us book tickets to the Kandyan culture show which we really appreciated

The Drop Inn was not the best choice but definitely it did the job properly. The hosts were amazing and helpful for any information, places to visit, small hotspots with amazing street food an so on. The location is alright in a peaceful area and a plus for those who like to hike. One downside, the wifi acted a bit ambitious for a few times but the problem was solved quicky by the staff.

The Room was quite dirty and stinky

The property is great value for money. Me and my friend booked 1 night so we could explore a bit of Kandy before heading south. When we initially arrived, our room was not ready however accommodated us in a spare room until we could move. The staff were friendly and kind offering local services such as the cultural show as well as booking taxis to the train station (40 min walk or 15 min tuktuk). The facilities are basic however did feel safe and nice views. Great they also had mosquito nets too

It’s a nice place with a great view, located right on a hill. Just not that easy to reach. Hostel was pretty empty, so not very social, but that can be because it’s not high season. Staff was very helpful, my room was cozy. I can recommend it for 1-2 nights.

It is perfect if you want to stay the night and leave. Staff is very sweet, the place is just a normal house that someone just added beds to the rooms. Nothing special to it, so don’t think you are going to find a good party mood.

Only stayed one night but was clean and comfortable staf were nice and helpful

Highly recommended! Great location which is close to beautiful Kandy lake , only 10 mins walk , Very kind and sweet host , Everyday when I get back to the house there is always hot tea reserved , And great view when sunset , Hope I had chance to come back again

the mosquito net has holes and there are holes in the wall as well so the night was quite loud. the shower had no power. the host was kind

The hostel was unfortunately not as expected. The dorm was below basic. Luckily I had it for my self. The room was a bit dirty with some bugs. Big cockroach at the toilet. The staff didn’t know the Wi-Fi code at the first point and had to ask for toilet paper. Probably not a place I would return to. It’s cheap that the positive.

It’s a nice place to stay if you want to save money.

Had a good nights sleep, and a great view in the morning, staff were very helpful and made our stay very welcoming! Would recommend for value for money and location near the lake.

This is a really chill hostel. If you just want to relax and have a safe place were to forget about the city, this is it. It’s like 10 min walking from the tooth temple and the lake. The staff are really chill and nice.

Beautiful view to the lake but not really clean place...

Good value for money I stayed in a dorm which was very basic but for the price and one night was good. I could walk to the centre. Staff was very helpful.
