I stayed at Hostel Woke Indiranagar twice and had a positive experience both times. The hostel is tucked away on a side street in Indiranagar, one of Bangalore’s most popular neighbourhoods, with lots of restaurants, bars, and cafes just a short walk away. The metro station is also nearby, making it easy to get around the city. My room was clean and comfortable. The manager at reception was very friendly and helpful, although some of the other staff seemed a bit less engaged. Overall, the hos...
ha cambiado mucho desde la última vez que fui (hace 2 anos). sigue siendoaacogedor pero el ambiente está un poco flojo, la mayoría de la personas que estaban eran trabajadores no viajeros.
This hostel made my trip in India! I stayed here for the majority of my 3 month stay in India. I met the most amazing people and the hostel is super relaxed and chilled. Has a good working kitchen so can cook meals. Always being cleaned and the staff are friendly!
It has a very good location and beautiful common space. I appreciate a huge safety box beside my bed that I can lock. Sadly there is not any indoor common area and insects could fly into the kitchen area that remains open door all the time because of that. There is KIA-4 & KIA-4A bus to airport from Indirangar Police Station / KFC to airport costing ~rs300 that one staff told me but he couldnt explain the timing. It was a bit disappointing that othe staff didnt know about this important info.
Such special people, everybody very nice and helpfull. Cleaned daily, VERY comfortable sturdy beds. Cozy outside area. Area is very walkable, and seemed very safe as a solo female. Place felt like second home, was sad to leave
nice location, not a very social hostel. mostly clean, but bathroom had a bit of a drain smell
Stayed in the female dorm here, it was very good. Good location and vibe too
Relaxed hostel with friendly and helpful people in a chill neighbourhood. The staff was friendly and really helpful and being there felt like being a part of a little family
If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, and aesthetic hostel in central Indiranagar, Bangalore - Woke Hostel is the place to go! The staff is super friendly. They have a beautiful outdoor sitting area with comfy chairs inside and out. There are games, a full kitchen, and community vibes. They have lockers, beds with curtains, and towels. One small confusion - the downpayment I made on the website didn't show up on Woke Hostel's end so I had to pay the full amount when I arrived.
Nice location, in the heart of Indiranagar, close to major attractions and places like Toit, Glens Bakehouse, Rameshwaram, etc. The property is well maintained, clean with lots of space to chill and hang around. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean. Will stay again here for sure, if I am in Indiranagar.
hidden amongst a very busy city
Maybe i get used to hostel that interactive staff but the vibe of this hostel is people are in their corners including staff. It's rare to see people talk to each other but the facilities are really neat. Clean washroom and dorm and common area. Proper working space and location is super.
excellent. simply cannot miss.
The rooms feel damp and slightly claustrophobic. I don't know how many times the bathroom was actually cleaned and the doormat in front of it was. The common space isn't very well kept, and again the cushions feel ancient and never cleaned.
I’m so glad I booked this stay instead of Zostel! I stayed in DSH kormangala my first night which was good too but Woke’s location is amazing! The vibe when I entered and the hangout spots are good. The crowd quality is great and so is the staff. The cleanliness of rooms and toilet is on point!
Jephi, the manager is a great host one can ask for. They provide great food.
The hostel owner is very nice but our experience wasn't the best. The double room is not worthy for the price. Our room was just next to the kitchen and there was a lot of noise during the night time, also because of loud guest at the living-room.
Woke was the first place I stayed in south india and I will totally go back. The staff was very helpful and I felt very welcomed. Stephen and Frido the frog
The private room we stayed in was definitely not worth the money. The vibe and common places are also quite mediocre, plus there rules against sitting in the outside area at night. There is a common kitchen where you can get your stuff and cook, but there's no cafe or anything. It might be okay for people staying for longer times to work, in the dorms. Definitely wouldn't recommend for people going for a vacation. The location is good though, accessible and close to lots of pubs and eateries.
I stayed in the deluxe private room but it was far from deluxe. It does not look like the photos at all, much dirtier and currently under renovation (they let me know once I arrived and I couldn't do anything about it by then). The room was right next to the kitchen and on the first floor, you can hear people making loud banging noises in the kitchen and talking loudly until 4 or 5 in the morning... and then of course the early risers will wake you up again. Good luck trying to fall asleep here
