When I arrived I couldn't watch Netflix in my room I ask why my signal is bad 😞😔 why I can't watch Netflix that's where I heard for the first time technician still need to fix cable but it was never told to me by the desk that I won't be able to watch Netflix and I expected perhaps a discount on the room base on the inconveniences that the TV could play.
The only thing I complain is about the concrecte beam on the ceiling, is too low, and many people hit the head. Perhaps you could put a cushion in it ... 😅
This place got a bad rap. I came to this hostel and booked only one night, being skeptical from the reviews. However the dorms are quite lovely, its more of a shared apartment, if you want you can cook, stored cold beverages in the fridge, theres a nice balcony, either overlooking the beach or beautiful street. It was nice to not have to deal with bunk beds. Staff comes to clean regularly and are very nice. Location is very close to the beach and market. My favorite stay in Capetown
horrible experience, would not recommend it
Rooms are dirty, messy, power outlets so lose one can't put the plug in in, shower has barely warm water; the rooftop terrace that they brag about online has just very uncomfortable picnic tables, which make it impossible to hang out there for longer than few hours; staff is rude, slow and irresponsible - never sent me the extra blanket I requested since the room was so cold; they check in drunk man with no luggage at the middle of the night, making you feel insecure.
Too many cockroaches in the room.
Unfriendly Staff and disorganization.
Location is good. We had a private room. Very small but oke, the problem was the bed. Very small and horrible mattress so you keep turning every 15 min. The other problem is the waste bins outside. They are aluminium but they dont close the side doors. So with the wind at night you hear them opening and closing all the time. Metal on metal, will def keep you awake.
The dorms were not clean. Our beds got assigned to other guests even with all our belongings on them.
The small rooms have bad ventilation and too close to the toilet.
One receptionist was unfriendly and handed out false information. I asked to rent a towel and got told that there maybe are no towels. After phone calls and lots of checking by the reception I got a towel. When I wanted to return the towel on the evening before check out I got told that this is not possible before check out. On the morning of check out at 8am I got told that there is no cash at the reception to provide me back the deposit for the towel and that I need to come at 11am. + No WI...
Low cost accommodation...great value for money.
Be very careful with this hostel. Although the location is good and it looks modern and fresh for a good price, it's all a show for the photos. So many things went wrong during my stay and it was just grimy and felt unsafe. I don't think I saw any cleaning done while I was there. To begin with, I booked a female dorm - more expensive than a mixed dorm. When I arrived, I was taken to my room and settled in. An hour or so later, a man arrived and I assumed he was a worker getting beds ready. Ho...
The only good thing is the location, the rest don't expect too much. Terrible attention They make me move from my room because they have and internal error I requested a female dorm and they made me pay extra than the price showed in the app They assing me to a bed and then came the next day that I told me that I have to move to another bed
Perfect, keep up the good work
I might say, one of the best hotels and hostels I stayed in Cape Town.
Really shocking experience, I moved somewhere else in the end. I’d been travelling for 30 hours and still had to wait another 6 to checkin. Then for some reason it took 4 of them a further 40 minutes to figure out how to give me a key card. The room was just a big room with loads of beds, no privacy, no plugs, only one locker locked. The place was pretty unsanitary and the area was quite rough - “No guns on the beach” for example! I moved to 91 Loop which was fantastic- stay ...
The rooms were not cleaned well. Every day you need to validate the card to enter the room.
First of all I was impressed with the appliances - big bathroom and kitchen. Everything was clean. It felt much more like a hotel than a proper hostel. The food market downstairs is nice. It's in a busy area and quite loud at night. Staff behaved inappropriately and incompetent. Two times we had male employee barge into FEMALE dorm room in the middle of the night (11pm, 1.30pm), turning on the lights, asking questions. AC didn't work and staff refused to deal with it. Didn't feel welcoming
