I absolutely loved my stay at Khaya!!Genuinely one of the top 5 hostels I’ve stayed in the world. Miri is so incredible and quite literally anything you want to do in Cape Town, she can give you advice about. Luke is also an absolute gem and icon. The dorms are nice and pretty spacious with a space under your bed for lots of storage. There’s also many places to do work if you’re a digital nomad. Whether you’re stopping by for a short while or longer, I’m sure you will enjoy this hos...
I had a fabulous stay at Khaya Hostel Cape town. The vibe is super friendly and social, the outside areas and the garden perfect for relaxing and hanging out. The beds were comfortable and the common areas clean. The weekly event where always a lot of fun - 10/10
We’ve had an absolute blast during our stay at Khayas! The hosts are lovely and they offer you various activities and are always there if you’ve got any questions or need help. 10/10 would recommend. We were sorry that we’ve only spent 3 nights. Next time I’ll book a kite surfing class through these guys and stay a couple of days longer :)
Great hostel just outside of town so great to get some more rest. Ideally located for Kite surfing. You're in town by Uber in about 30 minutes. The staff and people are really friendly and accommodating. They organize great group activities. Great for remote workers and travelers looking for some more rest. The private suites over ar Mayana (affiliated complex 5 min away) were amazing.
This is the best hostel in and around cape town 🔥
Cozy place, you can see the love that was put in there. Miri and Luke are amazing hosts, they‘ll always make you feel welcome and at home. The location is perfect, just 2 min from the beach where you’ll have the best view on table mountain. I’m already looking forward to coming back asap.
A magical place to stay, had the best 2 days there with much needed rest. Really just loved it so much.
Unfortunately, the house isn’t so tidy and welcoming like the photos shown. Overall, cleanliness is lacking, and some areas of the house seem poorly maintained. The bathroom and kitchen in particular need more frequent cleaning…It's a shame, because the location is excellent: it's just a short walk from the beach and close to restaurants and supermarkets.
Such a nice atmosphere in there with a lot of people staying a long time which says it all and the hosts very friendly and approachable. The yoga in the morning is great too. Thanks for the good times I hope to come back soon.
Cool hostel. Hippie vine there
When you visit Cape Town and want to relax, chill, laugh, meet new people, swim, braai, and obviously kite surf, then this is the place to be! Yoga in the morning and you set for the day! Great hosts and a young vibrant team will make your stay stress free. Dont bring it all when they have it all. You Just need your clothes and your tooth brush 🤣🤣🤣 "Travel light to enjoy the night" I am blessed to have found this hidden gem and its people!!
Everyone was so nice and the property was beautiful. There are great places to dine nearby and it is a fairly safe area. The bathroom needed some renovation and a little cleaning but overall I can’t complain! It was a great experience. Also! I don’t recall the description mentioning there being a dog, but there is a dog that lives on the property! Her name is Khaya and while very sweet and friendly, I wish I had packed some allergy medication!
Amazing stay! Most welcoming place I've ever walked into, immediately was offered dinner and met awesome people. Great kite community, but up for other adventures too. We went for a hike & a food market and even had a little artsy evening making mosaics. Best place in Blouberg!
I loved it! Absolutely perfect for kitesurfing, comfy dorm bed (curtains are such a plus), warm welcome with some really good tips and plenty of nice hangout space. I immediately met a great bunch of people and there's a dog! ❤️
No sign at all to indicate the place (I litterally entered the neighbour's house by mistake) and major issue for me: the dog that runs at you barking every time you enter and barks loudly for different reasons. After my first encounter I was told "she doesn't bite (true), she just doesn't like newcomers" (no comment). I decided to cancel my stay after 1 night because that was just overwhelming; the staff tho were understanding and said they would indicate clearly the presence of the dog.
Booked a bed for 2 nights but once there the owner wasn't there. Tried to call her and showed up at her place several times but no one could help. Had to sleep in the car cause it was too late to get a new reservation.
I loved my stay in Khaya Kite house. Miri is a wonderful host, Khaya is an intelligent amazing guarddog, and so very friendly, the house is so charming, hot tub and pool in the garden, great yoga instructors, and lots of storage place for gear and a very organised kitchen. I hope you be around for pizzanight, its a very fun party, and promised yourself not to waste time waiting around for wind, ask Miri about hikes or other fun activities, Cape town is an endless adventure!
Had a great time to finish my Cape Town trip. Area and people are very chill. Nice mix of remote workers, kiters and travellers. Recommend a longer stay!
