Very comfortable and great location! Amazing view on the mountains from the terrace and walking distance from the train station and bus stand. The owners are very welcoming and helpful! Having a lock on the dorm’s door would have felt safer, but everything else was great!

A verrrry local and authentic experience. Stayed in this hostel to escape the crowds of Ella, and did exactly that. The hostel staff were super helpful with recommendations for things to do and onward travel. The hostel chef also cooks great (and cheap!) meals and even runs cooking classes some days too! A bit on the basic side with facilities, but this is exactly what I was after as it felt so authentic. Will be back :)

A nice, basic guest house with friendly staff :) If you’re looking for a social stay, this is definitely not it - but we weren’t, so not a problem for us! Only thing the guest house really falls down on compared to other places we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka is value for money. It’s a good location and felt safe. The guest house also has warm water :)

attenzione: il proprietario ci ha riferito di aver perso le credenziali di accesso ad hostelworld quindi non riesce a visualizzare le prenotazioni. per questo motivo consigliamo di prenotare con un’altra piattaforma per evitare che non abbiano posto per voi. non si aspettavano il nostro arrivo ma sono stati molto disponibili ad accoglierci. avevamo prenotato il dormitorio ma per fortuna ci hanno concesso la stanza le cui condizioni comunque non erano ottime. il wifi non funziona bene.

Would 100% recommend this accommodation. The family are so welcoming and lovely. The dad used to be a guide so he is a wealth of knowledge! From transport to tours, all over the country- he can answer all your questions. The town is right there (3 Mon walk). Breakfast was lovely and with a fab view. I treated myself to the private ensuite because it was great value.

The family who runs this hostel are the best. They are so friendly and welcoming. I spent a long time playing with their lovely daughter and was welcomed as part of the family. They were very helpful with booking trips and travel to. I felt really safe as a solo female and even had the whole dorm to myself. Would really recommend staying here if you want to visit Lipton Seat etc.

I really enjoyed my stay! would 100% recommend

When I arrived the owner was surprised and didn’t known about my booking. But the room was ready and I actually had the whole dorm room just for myself, so basically a private room. The owner is nice. My highlight was his little daughter Cherry. The views from the terrace were amazing! I enjoyed doing yoga there a lot. They had free towels, toilet paper, soap and filtered water. Everything was also clean. The hostel is situated in walking distance to the train station. WiFi didn’t work well.

Terrible turned up with reservation and they had over booked their hostel and turn us away. Don’t book there as you don’t know whether they will honour the booking

It’s a very nice property with a great view and rooms. The owner Piyal is a good man and will help you in every way in your stay. The food is really delicious with ample size. Recommended if you are in Haputale.

I had a very pleasant time at this hostel. It was very calm and quiet, the view is beautiful, the owner is extremely helpful, the food is tasty... I absolutely recommend this place to people who enjoy peace and quiet.
