Friendly and helpful host. Comfortable beds with individual fans and lights. Close to restaurants. Thanks!
Delilah’s was a great stay for myself and the others in my group. The hostel was clean, the beds were comfy and the location was great. It was due to the recommendations of Harps that our time in Nong Khiaw was one of the highlights of our trip through SEA.
If you like babysitting kids and having strange conversations with a drunk owner, this place is for you! We stayed in the double room and the bed was super comfy. At night, we went to step outside and a 7 year old kid with the energy of a 6 month old border collie attached himself to us. We could not escape him for hours because he was waiting for his dad (the drunk owner) to come home. Cute kid, but I didn’t sign up to babysit!
Entering the hostel, me and my boyfriend immediately felt uncomfortable with the Israeli military (IDF) propaganda displayed in the windows. We believe hostels, where people from all over the world get together, shouldn’t display ideologies of any sort. In the single room, our sheets were dirty, otherwise comfortable bed. In conclusion - wouldn’t return
When we arrived a staff member seems to be drunk, almost to incoherent levels which made us very uncomfortable. There is a lot of pro Israeli and IDF imagery displayed at the hostel which we found absolutely disgusting and would not have booked had we known this beforehand. The staff also made us feel very uncomfortable because we booked a waterfall tour with another operator and not with them. We left a day early due to all this. This place has not evolved with the times. Avoid lik...
Won’t lie pretty average experience, me,my partner and 1 other in the hostel so no vibe whatsoever, owner was super friendly when we arrived then next morning when we came to leave was very blunt, we booked the private double which was good but showed age, if you want a vibe of staying in a hoarders house I’d recommend
Take a moment to read this through. The owner of this hostel is a Zionist. Now this can be irrelevant to some travellers who want to separate travel and politics. Note - 2 things that ruined my experience my very first night harps the owner was super drunk and SCREAMING at his staff. As a female solo traveller i went into complete freeze mode hearing a man yell. Secondly he is pissed at locals starting tour groups and making money off NK which he has been doing ages, I wouldn’t stay agai...
Had a nice stay at Delilah’s. It’s in a great location and Harps was a great help in organising our tour and onward travel. Was the perfect quiet stay we needed and the bed was very comfy.
Very cheap hostel and the owner is full of good tips if you catch him at the right time. Most of the time it all felt unorganised and was difficult to communicate if the owner wasn’t around. We had a private room which didn’t have a lock this wasn’t to much of an issue as we just used one we had with us. On the plus had a cute puppy and kitten, very good cakes and in a really good location
I like this place a lot. Harps, the owner, put a lot of effort into making the experience very enjoyable. He has a lot of recommendations regarding the surrounding area so you don’t need to go to a tour group. It’s all inclusive. The security is sound, the beds are comfortable. No issues or concerns at all.
One of my favorite hostels so far. The owner is soo nice. He also books the tours for you if you want to do for example the hike with the camping on the mountain and he just really wants the best for you. The beds are really comfortable and you have curtains. I even had a little balcony in the dormroom. The common area is also really nice and has such a cozy vibe. The bathrooms are really clean. And the hostel has overall a really family like vibe. Would definitely book it again!!
Could not communicate with host in English. Booked 4 bed dorm was not available, only 8 beds. Needed to go through another dorm to get to mine. Nagging local kid in the reception area. Overall atmosphere of the hostel not friendly.
No idea how this placed has such a high rating. Poor condition of the whole place, no backpacker atmosphere, very bad owner (he was hitting his little puppy...), overall not recommendable at all, there are way better options in Nong Khiaw. The only upside is the location.
AI helped polish, but this is 100% honest.Harps, a native English speaker, offers the best tours. His 2-Day/1-Night tour is genuine (9 AM Day 1 to late afternoon Day 2), unlike others who offer under 24 hours. Harps has supported different local villages. Sometimes he's a little bit stressed from all the things he manages. Relax, try the amazing cakes, and you'll love it.The locals respect him highly; he’s truly not greedy unlike others :ODo yourself a favor and book a dorm or a tour ...
Cool hostel and the owner is kind but I easily felt overwhelmed here. The sheets were probably clean but I genuinely wasn’t sure. Bathrooms were fine but kind of grossed me out. I was glad I only booked one night here.
Everything was super perfect, Harps has the answer for everything you could possibly want or need in Nong Khiaw. Couldn’t recommended enough!
The atmosphere in the hostel was ok. The facilities were very basic but worked. The guy who runs it is pretty all over the place, catch him on a good moment and you’re fine, however he was often yelling at staff. When we were there he completely overbooked, people had to sleep on the floor in common areas. The hostel had lockers, but security is not good. We had a random girl just sleeping on the floor.
