Youth Hostel Vianden

Hostel is located up a steep hill, but is basically right outside the castle which makes things easy. There was only 1 power socket in a room for 10 people which was strange.

Christian is fantastic. He allows his guests to eat as much as they want at breakfast and dinner. Luggage storage is a breeze. The location has an incredibly amazing view of Vianden Castle perched high above. The website doesn't mention it; however, if arriving by public transportation the Place Engelmann stop is, by far, the closest. Otherwise, you have to walk on cobblestones up a pretty steep hill.

The staffs are very nice, showing me where the plates for the buffet are, giving nice recommendations eg. a good spot to see the castle, a nice Chinese restaurant… and the location’s quite nice, just under the castle

prachtige locatie, fijn personeel, goede voorzieningen. Ruimte om je fietsen te stallen en parkeerplek voor de deur of om de hoek

Pokój 12 os., ale bylem na szczęście sam 😉. Śniadanie w porządku: kawa, herbata, ser, szynka, salami, płatki etc. Można się najeść. Ponad 30 EUR za łóżko w 12 os dormie to trochę dużo, ale to Luksemburg 🥳.

Perfect location in vianden, close to bus stop and historic town. The bunks are comfortable and the rooms ventilated well. My friend and I were alone in the dorm, there were 4 other guests that night. Breakfast (inkl.) was perfect

Great. I love this hostel. And staffs are kind.

A bad smell in the bathroom. Ordered a picknick and dissapointed. It consists of 2 sandwiches, an apple and a small cake. Costs 7 euro. No drink....

Mooie plek om het kasteel te bezoeken (2 min lopen). Tevens om wandelingen te doen. Omdat het aantal boekingen meevielen kregen wij een 2 pers. Kamer ipv slaapkamer. Tevens goed geregeld qua lunchpakket (op aanvraag bij receptie)

A good hostel to spend the night. The staff is superior friendly.The rooms were super clean. It's near the Vianden Castle, so you're going to need to hike a little bit. Overall a nice experience.

The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are also very nice. I was the only one in my hostel room for my last night. Since there are not many visitors here, it's very difficult to meet people.

Very quiet hostel but perfect for hikers.

I had an overall good stay at Vianden youth hostel, the location was good close to the castle but need to walk and climb a little (15/20 min) from the bus stop. There is a great view from the windows and breakfast was excellent really good bread and other products. What I didn’t like : the lack of plugs in the room, the common showers (first time I ever see that 😰) and living room closed very early as well as breakfast was finished around 9am if I remember well.

Literalmente a los pues del castillo. Ubicación ideal. Nosotras tuvumos mucha suerte pues el dormitorio estuvo casi vacío! Camas cómodas y baños muy limpios. El staff muy amable e incluso hablan español!

A beautiful uphill walk from the bus station (gare) location in Vianden. Friendly helpful staff, clean well lit room with a comfortable bed. There's a sink in the room and bathrooms/showers are just across the hall. Fantastic self serve breakfast. The castle is a minute walk from the hostel and there is a lovely walk that leads to statues of Mary, the stations of the cross, a small church and a ,high tree climbing area. Just down the hill amd to the right is access to the walled fortress.

The hostel is in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk from Vianden Castle. I got my dorm room for myself during my visit which was a added perk. The room were comfortable and I slept really well. You won’t regret spending a night there during your visit to Vianden.
