Great experience! The employees and manager made my stay comfortable!

Backpacker hostile. Quite rugged. Friendly staff. Lots of male energy getting drunk all the time. Super drunk Dude nearly puked all over my luggage. Not very clean. Good for maybe one or two nights if you're just passing through I need a cheap hostel.

Worst Hostel in India. They can deny entry even if you have booked from hostel world. I had to wait for more than 1 hour just for check In and they denied straight that its fully occupied. After 1.5 hours of wait i got the bed that too very dirty and had bugs and spiders. It was a nightmare. Do not stay here!!

Satisfied with the stay. It's staffs, security, ambience, location totally worth it.

I stayed at Desire Hostel for 2 weeks and loved the helpful staff, great location, and strong community vibe. The rooftop and kitchen are great for meeting people, and laundry is available at a good price. Beds have large lockers. There can be occasional water shortages or heating issues, though I didn’t experience them firsthand. bathrooms and kitchen aren’t always the cleanest, but fine for the price. It's a shame really, because this hostel has the potential for a 10/10 rating, but the staff and cleanliness really bring it down. I'd be happy to return to Delhi otherwise, and that's saying a lot in itself. When I first arrived the female staff member made negative comments toward the presentability of my appearance in Hindi toward the manager, who then refused to accept my card payment. The other major knock is that cleaning is quite minimal compared to the other hostel. Diligent but lacking.

We stayed for 2 night there and felt we overpaid by a lot for what we got. the pictures online don't look like that in reality. perhaps in the past this looked better but now it just looked very neglected, dirty and peeling walls, very bad odors, only cold shower. very loud guests noisy through the night. oh and the front doesn't have any signs and looks like its under construction. P.S We are very seasoned backpackers and used to rough or simple accommodation as long as the price fair.

Reserve 2noches en una habitación individual en hostelworld,pagando 500rupis de reserva.Cuando llegué no tenian ni idea y me dijeron que la habitación no estaba preparada y tenia que pasar una noche en una habitación de 8compartida.Al final fueron las dos noches.Mis compañeras de habitación,un desastre,no he podido dormir ninguna de las 2noches y me han cobrado las 2 sin descontar las 500r iniciales diciendo que es de hostelworld.Vamos he pagado+! The best part was, I wasn't alone. I got to meet so many people from different countries like the Netherlands, Brazil, France, Japan and Ghana. Additionally, the hostel had a kitchen where you could cook your own food, but I didn't use it. There were plenty of restaurants and street shops around the hotel where I used to eat to explore the local buzz. Highly recommend it!

showers didn't work, manager looks miserable, sheets weren't clean and the other people staying at the hostel were loud and inconsiderate

The bathroom was really dirty. The drains were clogged. Not a good experience. They can definitely work on a lot of things, provided what they charge.

Kitchen was a mess and not clean, staff not particularly friendly, only one bathroom for too many people. People from other rooms also using our bathroom.. Reasonably good location

Really needs improvement but given quality of hostels in Delhi is pretty bad, I stayed here just because of the safe, quite and nice location. Cute cafes, metro and market nearby! Unfortunately the hostel itself is pretty uncared for + run down - no toilet paper, dirty bathroom and kitchen. Aircon is on turned on at night, and even then it barely worked at all - in a tiny 8 bed dorm we were super hot, my friend had to move rooms part way through the night due to heat. Pillows were paper thin, ...

The hostel is cheap if youre staying female dorm but otherwise the prices does not match with condition of the property at all. Big improvement is needed in cleanliness, better shape and selection of kitchen utensils, a comfy hangout area for guests and more welcoming / hospital attitude from the staff. Overall I met some nice people and its located well close to Hauz Khas metro and a local market.
