Urban Panda Skyview Hostel JBR

I'll start by saying this is not a hostel. It seems like someone's apartment turned into rooms with beds. Our room felt like it was a closet with a "double" bed that 2 adults barely fit in. It was hot and stuffy and small. Our other room with a single bed was better but still felt like a closet. The view from the balcony was great though and the living room was nice. The location is great, but if I come back to Dubai, I won’t return to this hostel. The cleanliness of the room was good, but the toilet needs improvement. When I arrived for check-in, there was no one there and I had to wait 40 minutes. It was a very long trip, and my room wasn’t ready. They also made a mistake with my booking and tried to give me a shared room when I had booked a single. They even told me I could cancel and go to another hotel, which was terrible. It seems an apartment was converted into a “hostel”; the room was tiny—for a single occupant it would be fine, but for two people it’s a bit of a squeeze. The host responds quickly— even when I messaged him at midnight. I appreciated that he provided unlimited filtered water to drink and an international adaptor so I didn’t have to bring my own. The staff is amazing and friendly at Urban Panda, the hosts and staff are polite. There was some issue with my booking, but they resolved instantly without keeping me hanging!

Great location for using metro, only a couple stops from famous places!
