Backpackers House

Dan was a very nice and polite host. He takes care of his guest, prepares suggestions for restaurants and sites. It felt very familial to stay at the Backpackers House. Everything was clean and good organized. I would defenetly reccomend Dans hostel.

This hostel is amazing, I had such a lovely stay here. It was actually my first ever hostel experience and Dan had a large part in making it so wonderful! He takes great care of his guests and their space, I arrived to a clean room and bathroom, and everything felt peaceful and safe! I stayed in the all-female room and made good friends with those staying with me. I would recommend this hostel in a heartbeat and definitely will be returning!! Great place to stay. Dan the owner is super lovely and helpful, beds were comfy, padlocked storage area, clean bathrooms. There’s is a fridge, coffee station, kettle and toaster as well as complimentary snacks. Would definitely recommend.

Basic, no common area. Great service by Dan, was happy to show the things to see in Bologna and some history.

Ostello vero nel pieno centro di Bologna, Dan è una bellissima persona, gentilissimo, pulizia impeccabile. Infissi nuovissimi alle finestre che permettono di godere del silenzio di notte di pur essendo in zona di una piazza movimentata, camere dotate di aria condizionata. Consigliatissimo, spero di aver occasione di tornare!

Hostel with a nice location, basically on campus. The area felt safe, there is always students around and the windows are good at cancelling noise from the street. The owner was very considerate about making sure I was in a room with girls and not the room alone with an older man. Note that there is no common area, the fridge, toaster, microwave, etc. are in the hallway, it has more house vibes than hostel. Not practical if you want to make personal calls. Overall it was a good experience!

Good for a night. Just very cramped with no common areas outside the bedrooms. Was clean and the owner was friendly.

Backpackers House is located in the heart of a lively student neighbourhood. All the major sights are easily reached on foot. The property is a small three bedroom apartment. The two bathrooms are kept meticuulously cleaned. Dan, the host, is very hospitable and caring man. The guests are given a bootle of water as a welcome gift. What separates this accommodation from the big hostel chains is a very homely atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here.

The host was so accommodating and so welcoming, he was flexible and understanding. Facilities were great we felt so safe!! Highly recommend, right in the centre too!

Daniele est vraiment quelqu'un d'incroyable. J'ai pu discuter près de deux heures avec lui à mon arrivée. Nous avons parlé de nos deux histoires à chacun. Daniel est un passé incroyable et il est plein de vie et de bonheur. Je recommande à n'importe qui s'cet établissement. J'ai passé un merveilleux moment.

Good service and location for young people

Basic but cozy place with a homey feel — great for young backpackers. Clean and comfortable, with all the essentials. The host Dan is very kind, attentive, and always ready to help. You really feel welcome here. Would stay again!

Great guesthouse with a very friendly host, right in the center.

I really enjoyed my stay, Dan seemed like a very trustworthy, helpful and considerate host, and very good with communication, he made sure I was comfortable and gave me advice for where to go and what to do. The hostel was basic but clean and had everything i needed for my short stay. Location wise, I gave a slightly lower rating as the street it was down didn't feel quite as safe, but in terms of access to the city it was perfect! It was very close to lots of bars and eating places.
