Meander Osaka

Is an excellent choice (location + comfort) they are super nice, always helping and they speak English. In Osaka make sure to reserve with them 😁

Well located hostel near the Namba location with great amenities. Free luggage storage is available which was convenient. The lobby has free tea, coffee, and water drinks on-demand. While there was no laundry service there is a place on the same block that washes and dries in record speed.

Perfect Hostel to discover Osaka. Everything was as described and the staff is really friendly and welcoming.

Overall extremely negative experience - while it was well-located, on-site facilities were limited and rooms/bathrooms were tiny. And to make matters worse, this is the first time I’ve ever faced such terrible customer service. The staff were muttering things about me in Japanese, knowing a couldn’t understand when I checked in and when I’d walk by the reception. When I confronted a staff member about this, they admitted they were talking about my appearance.

The hotels location was very convenient, close to the subway and to some of the main tourist attractions. The staff was nice, the place was clean and the bed was comfy

Absolutely wonderful staff! I had an important meeting for work that I couldn't miss late night, and even though the common room was bustling the staff found a solution and helped me greatly. Aside from that, great amenities and decent rooms, would definitely reccomend to anyone.

We absolutely loved to stay at Meander! Miki in the reception took especially good care of us:) Great value for the price in every way!

Downstairs is a nice indoor and outdoor common room, where you can get free sparkling water, tea and coffee. The staff was really friendly and the room was spacious and clean.

Amazing accommodation! So clean and tidy, really perfect location too. If you're looking for a party hostel or place to really engage and meet new people this may not be the exact place for you; it felt more like a hotel. If i ever find myself in Osaka again, I will 100% be back here!

Excellent service and friendly staff

Had a wonderful stay at Meander! We chose a bunk bed room which was small but perfect for 2 people. The bunk bed wasn’t creaky, cozy space! Appreciated the amenities including water dispenser, toiletries, complimentary tea and coffee, and the kitchen. Great location, a short walk to Namba Station and also close to multiple convenience stores and food options. Also felt the location was nicely quiet, away from the large crowds by the station. Would definitely stay at Meander again!

I would skip this place if you are looking for a hotel. I booked a single room and it was unbelievably tiny and it always had a moldy odor. Every time I left and returned, the mold odor was awful. Read the other reviews. Toilet was not clean…what self respecting Japanese doesn’t have a clean toilet? And for what this was, it wasn’t cheap either. Booked at the APA 5 minutes from there and it’s night and day. The staff were friendly, just the rooms were small and —not clean.

Great location, spotless clean room and lovely helpful staff. Only downside was size of the bed in the double room which wasn’t large enough for two and we are not on the large size either

We stayed in the capsule dorm part of this hostel, and it was very comfortable and nice. Comfy bedding, and good airflow through the capsule "rooms". Would stay here again!

The staff wasn't that nice when I asked where a certain place was, they laughed in my face. The atmosphere is relatively okay, close to everything, not the cleanest, and when I asked for a towel to be changed, they didn't do it.

We wish we had longer here the staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms were lush but cramped for the price, it was a twin room and we couldn’t even walk past each other in it but other than that everything was wonderful. Thanks guys!
