Reykjavik - Loft HI Eco Hostel

After hours check in was perfect and the staff were quick to respond about shuttles from KEF to Reykjavík.

If/when I return,I will stay here or one of your other hostels on the island.

My stay at Loft Hi-Eco Hostel was fantastic! Great first time experience at this chain. Everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful. The space was kept very clean, rooms are good. Having kitchen access was amazing! Would highly recommend this property. I felt very safe the entire time.

Great hostel in a very central location, close to all the attractions. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the Polish lady on reception (sorry I didn’t catch your name!). The hostel has a very social atmosphere and it’s so easy to meet new people. Everything was clean and I felt very safe. The hostel is big on no waste so there is food/toiletries that guests have left behind that you can help yourself to, which is nice. The only tiny downside is that lockers are quite small

Great staff, but the fact they are always out of linen bothered me, they have 2 fitted sheets instead of a top sheet or none in several places. Also on my first stay, a few of us got locked in the hallway when I was rushing to get out because code on door stopped working due to battery. Thankfully someone’s friend let us in. Everything else was great, great staff, bar, location. Clean!

Such an awesome hostel. The common area was so cozy and fun with lots of board games and a nice outdoor area. The bar was popular and frequented by locals. Kitchen was clean and organized with lots of free food. Best part was location. It was right on the main street just a short walk to everything. It was a great value all around. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Amazing location right in the middle of Reykjavik. The private double room was so spacious and clean it was an enjoyable place to relax after long days of exploring. The staff at the hostel were really helpful and super friendly. I would definitely stay again next time I visit.

Cool hostel with a good location and a nice roof terrace. The rooms are okay but in the room I was staying there wasn‘t any space in the bathroom or toilet to really store some things to get ready and don‘t fear for everything to fall on the floor. The bunk beds were really shaking when you would move in the bed. The luggage storage was great and I would recommend the hostel for everyone who wants to stay in the city and do many things in walking distance.

Excellent Only minor issue was that there were only 4 security safes in the 6 bed dorm Perhaps the staff would have had a solution but I just left my stuff with no issue

I really enjoyed my time at the Reykjavik - Loft HI Eco Hostel. Very friendly staff and they events they hosted were great. The facilities were clean and the location is great. Highly recommend!

I stayed in an 8-bed female dorm for 2 nights and it was amazing. The room was spacious and had an en-suite bathroom so I could pack and get ready in peace. It’s located right at the end of the rainbow street, making it really close to any attractions in downtown Reykjavík. They also have a lot of open common areas and they host a lot of events for other travelers to meet, making it super easy to make new friends during your stay. Only real downside is lack of privacy curtains on the beds!

I was only in Reykjavik for one day, and Loft HI was perfect for that. The hostel is located in the center of downtown Reykjavik which makes it super convenient. You can walk to/from BSI (20min) or to/from Bus Stop #12 for different tours (15min). I arrived super early in the morning and staff let me hang out in the common space for an hour or so before heading out for a tour and before checking into my room. One of the best hostel in Iceland, very clean, very friendly staff, but age gap was problem, this hostel must be for young travellers and not old people. overall very well worth.

Great location in the centre of Reykjavik, near plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. The common room, bar, and balcony area on the top floor is what really made this hostel a great place to stay. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone solo travelling, as it provides a great opportunity to meet new people.
