Sick place, super good place to meet people and literally 2 minute walk away from tsugaike mountain, would def stay again

An amazing experience even before my stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and addressed all my concerns. They offer free pick-up and drop-off to all the main resorts, as well as transportation to the station or wherever you arrive. There’s also a free, hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes, conveniently right by the Tsugaike lifts!

The stay in this hostel was amazing, great people, and the mountains surrounding it are awesome for backcountry skiing and powder days in the trees or on slopes. Thank you very much. 😁

Such a great location, friendly staff, and well organized shuttles + transportation options 😃 made my solo trip (and first time) to Hakuba for snowboarding a breeze. 10/10 would stay again! Thank you Phat Packers!!! 🩵🤙

Honestly couldn’t really be better! They provide complimentary shuttles to the resorts and drop off and pick up which is huge. The staff were awesome. Huge ski room and free breakfast and activities. Can be a bit loud but at least then close the bar at 10. Can’t wait to come back.

Really well set up hostel with drying rooms for snowboards and gear, places to eat and relax, and only steps away from the base of Tsugaike Kogen. The staff were super helpful with recommendations and the hostel also organized daily shuttles to and from the various resorts across the Hakuba valley. They also arranged pickups and drop-offs for me when needed at no extra charge. The breakfast was really good and did a great job of setting me up for my days on the slopes. Would visit again!

Incredible place very kind workers, always looking to have a good time. I had an issue with getting home, and they made a bed for me late at 9pm for that night so I had somewhere to stay. Very grateful, great people, nice bar, free breakfast, free coaches to all the slopes.

Can’t say enough about how great this hostel is. All the facilities are amazing, the staff genuinely cares about everyone experience going way above and beyond expectations, food and drinks were great. Extremely social but I wouldn’t call it a party hostel. Could find parties every night but usually at the sister bars around town. Really great hostel though and highly encouraged

Excellent service! The ride pick-up from the bus station & routes to the ski hills were perfect. The most helpful staff I’ve ever experienced while traveling. Great location & the individual room was bigger than expected with a beautiful view. Evening food was okay, but the morning breakfasts were great.

Cannot recommend phat packers highly enough. The staff consistently went out of their way to make sure I got the most out of my trip. The staff make this place so special - special shout outs to Daniel, Clare and Bri, Cam - always happy to talk recommendations, assist with gear or just to have a chat over a couple beers. I was a solo traveller so the inclusive atmosphere that the staff create is a huge part of what makes the place so great. The partnership with rhythm for gear hire is gold.

Nice hostel. Fun vibe, very social. Nice staff other than the shaved head bus driver who refused to drive passengers to the other resorts they could ski at.

Fantastic social atmosphere, very fun stay. Easy to meet people. Helpful staff. Provides shuttle pickup and transport to/from ski fields, and to town in evenings (though last pickup is around 21:40). Would recommend and stay again.

Absolutely legendary people and place ! Couldn’t recommend a better place in Hakuba to stay! Free shuttle with the stay makes it so much more of a relaxing and at ease holiday !

Facilities good (boot room, bar, chill room, ramen restaurant), the shuttle service is fantastic considering it was free and the location is perfect a 3 minute walk to Tsugaike chairlifts. Handful of staff were truly excellent customer service and everyone else was efficient so this is a bonus. Atmosphere was great and all the other travellers were friendly. Very western feeling, FYI. If we come back to Hakuba we will definitely stay here again. Couldn’t have asked for more!
