Zug Youth Hostel

Sauber, zweckmäßig, sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, super Lage, und ruhig. Das alles mit Frühstück! Leider reicht WLAN nicht bis ins Zimmer … da wäre ein Extender doch sicher machbar!?

It is a little bit pricey but it is super nice and in a very good position. Lake beaches very near by walk/bike. In 15/20 minutes walk on the lakeside you can reach the city centre. Towels are not included in the price (+3 CHF)... But buffet breakfast included. I arrived outside reception opening hours, so I did self check in. Very close to the train station Schutzengel Zug.

Just stayed here for one night, but I really liked it. Will come again for sure!

Super nette Mitarbeiter, tolle Lage, wir kommen wieder.

Super Lage, gute Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr ( Bus, S- Bahn), 4er Frauenzimmer war ruhig und entspannt. Ich hatte zuerst ein Bett im gemischten 6er Zimmer gebucht und hab mich über das kostenlose, spontane Upgrade sehr gefreut. Frühstück war inklusive und bietet für das Budget alles was man für den Start in den Tag braucht. Würde es definitiv wieder nutzen und auch weiterempfehlen 🍀

Good hostel but it seemed like a bit abandoned. The water from the sinks went brown every once in a while and the air in the dorm was stale upon entrance.

Great stay, clean and good environment. Prices are good for average swiss market but still high :)

L'accueil et le sens de l'hospitalité du personnel est un point fort. Sinon, le rapport qualité/prix est désastreux (56 € la nuit pour un hébergement dans une très petite chambre de 4 avec sanitaires communs à tout l'étage) mais sans doute dans la norme pour ce qui concerne la Suisse et plus encore Zoug. Peut-être que c'est tout simplement un pays à éviter pour les budgets modestes ? Dommage...

Kein Hostel zum Leute kennenlernen, aber absolut sauberes Hostel mit tollen Frühstück, was sogar vegane Möglichkeit bietet. Die duschen und Toiletten liegen auf dem Flur und sind sehr sauber. Die Lage zum Bahnhof, insbesondere der Station Schutzengel, von der man in nur einer weiteren Minuten am Hauptbahnhof von Zug ist, ist unübertroffen.

Das Grühstück mir richtigen Schweizer Bergkäse ist super lecker, es gab sogar einen Trockenraum um das Zelt wieder zu trocken

Das Frühstück war klasse und entsprach weitaus mehr als einem included Breakfast in einem your hostel.

Zug was great ! We even tried to book an extra night and it was booked out. Rooms were good, location was good and the people were friendly. The storage was all full on the day we were leaving so we jsut left our bags in the hangout area, it was so chill and everything felt safe.

Super modernes und angenehmes Hostel mit elektronischen Lockern und fantastischem Frühstück. Ruhuge Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist leider etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, zu Fuß ist man aber binnen 15 Minuten am Bahnhof, der See samt Strandbad und die S-Bahn-Haltestelle "Schutzengel" erreicht man in unter 5 Minuten. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Ich bin begeistert. Publikum: gefühlt mehr Familien mit Kindern als Alleinreisende oder Backpacker.

L'auberge de jeunesse est très agréable. Elle est très bien située, à 2mn à pied du lac et d'une gare. Un petit centre commercial est également à proximité. A partir de l'auberge, on peut se rendre facilement à Zürich et à Lucerne.

Rooms for 6 were too small, when we were just 4 inside it was impossible make moves, overwhelming. Can't imagine 6 people there. And it was not as cheap, indeed the most expensive hostel I've been in Switzerland. Btw, I missed the typical hostel atmosphere in common areas, and instead we found out it was very noisy at night, slamming doors, screamings and so on. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this place.
