Stone City Hostel

Lovely hostel in a beautiful city and well located. Really nice feeling in the shared space and overall.

This was the cleanest hostel I've ever seen. The staff created a friendly environment, and the common areas were great for relaxing and/or board games. Also, they have towels and locks for no extra charge. The breakfast was good too, and they pack you a to-go box if you check out of the hostel before breakfast time. 10/10 would stay again.

This is one of my favourite hostels I’ve ever stayed at! It’s a beautiful place with a relaxed, homey vibe that instantly makes you feel comfortable. The family-style breakfasts each morning were a highlight and such a lovely way to connect with other travellers. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming too🤍

This hostel is amazing! Walter and the staff are fantastic hosts that make you feel like you're at home. Facilities are excellent and the hostel offers great excursions (we went off-roading up a mountain).

Lovely place. Felt so homey. I really enjoyed my time here. Would of stayed longer if I could. Bit of a steep hill. But nothing major. Really lovely staff and place all around. Comfy beds. Just 10/10 all around

Ottimo soggiorno!

I have stayed in 18 Hostels over the last four weeks in Portugal (6 different cities) and 4 in Albania. By far, this has been the BEST hostel to date. Walter and his staff make you feel at home. The hostel is elegant while feeling very friendly. It is clean, the beds are wonderful, and everything in the hostel feels new and fresh. They go out of their way to help their guests and always have something planned for them each night. I have extended my stay. This s the place to stay

Definitely want to come back! Felt like home!

I ended up extending my stay here twice it was so much fun! They give you such good guides and have such fun activities. The free walking tour was SO good and Walter gave us all sorts of fun day trip stops. The breakfast is SO good and the staff is so lovely and the location is charming. 1000% would return

The reviews don’t lie; this really is such an epic hostel. SO clean, an insanely homey and friendly vibe, wonderful people, great facilities, perfect location. The breakfast was delicious. Walter (owner) 100% makes the Gjirokaster experience with all of his expertise and advice. It’s popular for a reason, definitely stay here.

One of the best places to stay in the city, can't fault it. We were lucky enough to be the last guests to stay here before the hostel closed for the season. A fun atmosphere with the volunteers helping out even if we were there for a short while.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Walter and all of the volunteers were so lovely and helpful, making it feel like a second home. Its location was perfect and had a great free breakfast, and fantastic organised activities. The perfect small social hostel.

Book it! The staff are great, and the location is awesome too. They include breakfast, and on my last day I had to leave early and they prepared me a breakfast the night before so I could take it with me!!

Super auberge. Tenue par un couple et des volontaires tantôt locaux mais aussi étrangers. Super équilibre. Auberge très conviviale, dîner soupe délicieuse et petit déjeuner copieux, merci! On se sent bien dans cette auberge et c’est très propre. Literie super! Je reviendrai et recommanderai cet endroit

Perfect hostel - the staff sit down with you at check in and explain every corner of Gjirokaster from tourist sights to resturant recommendations. Comfy beds, clean and tidy, nice breakfast - no complaints.

I know this hostel is a little more expensive than maybe some in the Balkans but I would say it’s worth the money! Very nice social atmosphere. The staff and volunteers are really incredible. You have such a good view from the dorms and the beds are comfy. The breakfast is very nice as well! Fresh bread, cake, an egg, coffee. Would recommend:)
