Great staff that was super hospitable.
For skiing yes of course!! Collaboration with renting companies excellent. Support with local travel . And breakfast the way it’s just perfect.
Niseko Backcountry Lodge was an incredible time! The staff is friendly and the amenities are great. Having the dry room there to ensure that all your ski gear is dry the next morning is a really important detail. The social aspect was perfect. People were friendly and I found a good group of guys to rip with every single day. In the evenings, the hostel is social but not like a "party hostel" which is perfect because we are all trying to wake up and ski! Bed was comfortable and good breakfast...
Had a wicked time at this hostel. The staff Anna And the other Spanish guy were super helpful. there’s also a cool bar right in the hostel with friendly staff. all around I would recommend. it’s a good atmosphere and worth the money.
Actually stayed at Moiwa lodge Nextdoor. Highly recommend
Location is in Moiwa but offers free shuttles to Niseko United Mountains. Great social hostel, local convenience store, quieter area than Hirafu. Great that they offer shuttles into Hirafu, Rusutsu on certain days/nights.
Overall solid place! The location is far away and not easiest to get around if you dont have a car but they make this really clear. Space to put and dry all your gear. The washroom/shower situation is strange with kitchen being in the middle of washrooms sinks but otherwise good, pretty good breakfast included and ease of shuttles was nice.
Amazing cozy hostel. Good quiet location, lovely people staying there. Delicious breakfast as well.
I stayed in three different hostels across Niseko and this was was by far the best. The facilities were nice, beds were super private and comfy, the vibes were good, breakfast was awesome. Can’t recommend this enough. It tends to book out, so don’t wait like I did and only have one night here! You can also ski to the property from the resorts at the end of the day.
I stayed here for 6 nights and had the best time! The dorms were spacious & clean. The morning breakfast and shuttles (to Annupuri) provided by the staff were amazing. The atmosphere was awesome which as a solo traveller I loved as I regularly met others to hit the slopes. The lodge also organise 2 day trips a week to Rusutsu resort at a fair price, which I am glad I did in conjunction with Niseko! Although Moiwa is a separate ski pass and is a 20min walk from Annupuri, the pros outweighed 100%
Absolutely loved this hostel and my stay in Niseko. I didn’t want to leave and very much hope to come back!
Je le recommande magnifique 👌
Such a cozy hostel
The lodge is located pretty far away from most restaurants and you do need a different pass from the other niseko united resorts to ski Moiwa. Definitely suited to the backcountry touring crowd, hence the name. But was hard to find dinner in the area and tkkk a bit of effort to get to and from. This place was not super clean, bathroom smelt like parsnips, lots of cobwebs and black mold on the wood in the shower. The staff were all lovely which made things a lot better.
This was the perfect accommodation for our group of 12. The staff and other guests were friendly which made our stay enjoyable. Although some of the other guests were noisy at night, it is a hostel and that is to be expected. We will definitely be back again and are even considering booking 24 beds next time! We lost a set of keys one day and the staff was able to locate them and were hand delivered by the friendly owner. Top notch service! The access to skiing and night life is unmatched!
AMAZING. I’d come back to Japan just for this hostel and the vibes
Incredible place to stay! Super atmosphere! Good location for skiing in moiwa but a little bit too far from everything else
Excellent stay. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure my trip was as enjoyable as possible.
great location in Moiwa, a bit of a way from Niseko/Hirafu proper, but east access to the snow. Accommodation was comfortable and basic. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired, and there was often no drinking water available. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Really awesome spot to stay! I had such a memorable three days there. Staff is helpful and guests are wonderfully helpful and considerate. Steps away from Mt. Moira and there are shuttles to Mt. Niseko. Beds and common areas are comfortable. Such a great experience, thank you!
