Coral Beach Lodge

Loved our stay at Coral Beach Lodge. Felt very safe and everything was kept to such a high standard. So clean too! Also loved the pool and communal areas. Thank you

Just as other people have said, it's a decent hostel in terms of facilities - good pool and kitchen - but full of long-term backpackers so maybe not ideal for a quick stay. The room was full of people's things as they were living there and no social activities going on at all. About a 15 mins walk into town so not a bad location, but probably would go elsewhere next time

Nice layout, kitchen is nice to cook in and pool heated that’s where it stops. Bunks bed in the middle of the room aircon warm and no fans grotty bathrooms.

Really bad experience. This hostel is full of long term guests from South America, there is no vibe it’s like staying at someone’s house that does not welcome you. In the room you really feel like you are staying in someone else’s room and you are afraid to bother. My bed was super dirty the sheets had not been changed. You have to give 20$ deposit for your locker’s key. Hostel is far from city centrer. Ants on the wall in the room, flies in the kitchen. After 5pm no one is working.

We found this hostel to have a relaxation, which it was perfect for that. We came in “at off season” so it was very quiet. A bit weird that we just walked in the gate with no code or anything. We checked in late and got sent an email for our room code, but the code didn’t work. Our room was clean, but our friends was filthy. He said it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. no staff around much either. would recommend for long term staying not backpacking.

Towels were old/stained, flies were hovering around the fridge in the room and there was dust/hair on the metal frame of the bed. Sheets were clean and mattress was comfortable

The place is pretty dirty and there is virtually no security. There is also a strong smell.

Rooms should be cleant more often. Obviously also the result of careless guests but the YHA should male up for this by cleaning more often. Integrated big logger system in the rooms is very good.

Tom got us sorted right out & out of a accommodation jam! Private rooms are really spacious, have lots of amenities & are super clean 😁

This is a lovely hostel with great value for money. The staff are so so nice and are very helpful and informative with what to do around the area. There are a lot of people staying here long term for work, but overall it was a friendly atmosphere. The kitchen was fine and there are plenty of seating areas which made it super social. The pool was nice and they offer pool towels for free which is a bonus! A nice place to stay if you’re visiting Port Douglas!

Good hostel, good location, staff and owner are super nice. Dorm rooms are okay, beds are a little wonky and no lockable lockers, only cabinets. Bathroom was nice but could have been cleaner. Kitchen has what you need, could be a little cleaner and is hotter than a sauna, a lot of fridge and shelf space. Ping pong and pool table. Parking spaces available.

Really friendly staff, taken over by new owners 5 weeks ago. There's table tennis and a pool table, and a pool with free towels (although they would ran out). There are a couple of pump bottles of suncream round the place which was a nice touch. A mixture of long-term and short-term residents. The rooms were clean-ish, but the ensuite bathrooms were gross. There were cleaning products on the side. The kitchen was dark and smelly, and very very hot most of the time. 15 min walk to town cen...

For some reason the staff assumed I wasn't coming. I tried to call them but the phone didn't go through. When I finally showed up the desk was closed and both of the phone numbers on the front door didn't work.
