Love that they have singles private room. Never queued for the bathroom. Missing something to dry hands on in the bathroom. There is no sound isolation so you can hear your neighbors very well, and doors are loud. Ear plugs recommended.

Great hostel, the location is amazing right in the middle of old town, staff are amazing and the rooms are great value for the price, especially in comparison with other places in Lagos. People complaining about it not being a 5 star hotel have never heard of you get what you pay for, and for caravela this place is totally worth the price. Will definitely return!

The staff was Lovely and we really apprechiated the rooftop. However the rooms were very small and not really what we expected from the pictures. The room were also very hot (we did get a fan but ac would be prefered). There werent any possibility to Cook which we got the impression of from the website (there were a small shared kitchen w a kettle and microwave but no stove etc). The location was very good, centered and close to the beach however it was very loud in the streets during the night

Every person who works here is helpful and kind and charismatic and the accommodations were perfectly clean and comfortable. I certainly recommend staying here!

Caravela house is located along a major tourist thoroughfare, which makes for a very lively and energetic atmosphere - and all the noise that goes along with it; cleanup crews seem to enjoy making as much noise as possible outside our window at 6am! The staff was fantastic - very accommodating and friendly. The hostel is, however, in serious need of some TLC. Lots of stains, ants, peeling paint, and soiled carpets. Decent price, but not your place if you are looking for “shiny and new”.

Directions to Caravela needs improvement. Rua 25 de Abril does not meet the plaza, there is a name change, even though one can reach Caravela from either of 2 streets off the plaza, which meet at the beginning of Rua 25 de Abril. Otherwise a surprisingly pleasant experience for this new experience.

This was a great place to stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean and everything worked there.

A localização é perfeita, melhor impossível! É tudo bem antigo e com a estrutura bem básica. Não tem muita staff, toda ajuda que precisamos conseguimos com as senhoras que fazem a limpeza que são super eficientes e gentis. Ótimo lugar para dormir tranquilo, tomar um banho e estar perto de tudo que tem para fazer em Lagos.

Had a nice stay at Caravela. Private room was good size/cozy and included a sink in the room. The young girl at the reception was super helpful and welcoming! There’s a little patio by the reception and a mini kitchen. Note that there’s only 1 washroom for the accommodation, but you rarely had to wait. Prime location in city. A little noisy from street but main door locked after 11pm so felt relatively safe.

It was Just impossoble all things are very worn out, To open the door to room was hard, it had to be fixed.

Personnel très gentil. Tout était bien, dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de cuisine ! Les chambres sont sommaires mais cela suffit amplement pour quelques jours à la plage. Tout est très propre.

Location doesn't get much better. The value for money is very aligned. The terrace is also a major bonus, though it would be better if it was opened earlier/more consistently.. The 'kitchen' is just a table with kettle, toaster and microwave and dirty dishes are just left out to be cleaned by the staff? For the location alone I will stay here again, very central but far enough away from the bars. The staff were very helpful, we arrived late due to a flight delay but reception stayed open for me to check in because I rang ahead. The building has a certain old fashioned charm but everything is well maintained and very clean.

Great location and overall good value for money. Definite quirks about the property including showers not draining and squeaky beds.

El alojamiento se encuentra ubicado en una zona ideal, Justo en el centro. El personal fue muy amable. Nos quedamos en una habitación privada que resultó un tanto pequeña y calurosa y solo había un pequeño ventilador pero estuvimos bien porque el calor no fue tan intenso! No aceptan tarjetas de crédito! Los baños estaban limpios y las duchas muy bien! Recomiendo para una estadía corta!

Valor extremamente elevado para um hostel tão simples. Quarto muito quente. Esperava o mínimo de conforto em um quarto privativo, mas foi bastante desconfortável para dormir por causa do calor e da cama que faz muito barulho ao se mexer. Instalações bem antigas. Ainda bem que fiquei apenas uma noite, não seria bom ficar mais do que isso. A estadia foi uma grande decepção.

The bathrooms were very old and dirty. In one bathroom the light didn’t work during our entire stay. There is only one bathroom that is okay. We had a room at the street side which was very loud at night + hard News. It was very warm since there is no airconditioning and the ventilator barely works. There’s no kitchen only a small microwave and a toaster. Even making a small salad was a challenge. There’s no common space where you can sit together. The staff wasn’t friendly

המקום מאוד ישן ומעופש, וגם הדברים בחדר. היינו בחדר אחד בו הייתה נזילה בכיור, העבירו אותנו לחדר אחר ובבוקר גילינו שגם שם יש נזילה. המיטה מאוד קשה ולא נוחה, חדרים קטנטנים וחנוקים. לטובתם של המקום - הם היו מקסימים ונתנו לנו לקצר את השהות ללילה אחד בלבד כשהבנו שהמקום לא מתאים לנו. בנ...
