If you want to be social and meet people while solo traveling, this is not the “hostel” for you. It felt more like a hotel.
O espaço é muito bonito, organizado, acomodação é impecável e pequeno almoço foi sensacional. Equipe muito atensiosa e disponível
Stayed here twice now and would do so again without hesitation.
Incredible hostel with an elaborate decor inspired by the University. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was very good. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. A most welcome safe haven in the middle of a trip filled with regular hostels.
Beautiful hostel. The rooftop patio and view is gorgeous. Breakfast is included which was nice. I can’t speak to the social atmosphere since I was the only guest staying in the entire hostel during my visit (a few nights in Feb 2024). They also didn’t have any events to meet people (such as pub crawls/ dinners/ tours/ social hours). However the staff were friendly and the rooms + bathrooms were clean.
Beautiful! Loved this place and the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
4 star hotel quality for high end hostel prices.
Beautifully renovated former grand home, atop a hill overlooking Coimbra and the river. Short walk down to Botanic Gardens and Univ of Coimbra and then gentle stroll down to Baixa through old streets. Superb staff, helpful with recommendations on dining and travel. Private room on ground floor had comfortable bed and ensuite. Some slight noise from upstairs occupants. Continental breakfast included of pastries, muesli, cold meats, eggs and fresh fruit. On the balcony with lovely views.
Lovely neighborhood. Quiet, beautiful views, short walks to restaurants and available street parking.
Its was absolutely stunning there!😍 We loved it!
Such a lovely place to stay. Great facilities and good location, wish I had stayed an extra night
Great property as you had your own privacy but had that home feeling. Was able to self check in very easily as well.
We stayed in the nice private room. Excellent value.
We loved this hotel. Wonderful staff and service and lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here!
feels more like a guest hotel than a hostel. Would not recommend for solo backpackers unless you like the location. Felt empty.
Lovely 'hotel' in a quiet, affluent residential neighborhood ~15 min walk to Cumbria University (a bit out of the way). Private rooms only; in this sense not a hostel. No washer. Wonderful service. Impeccable cleanliness. Small (only ~10 rooms); as a result atmosphere not as vibrant/social as that of a hostel, but if you need a respite from all the socializing that comes with staying in a hostel, this may be a good choice!
This is my favourite hostel. A wonderful place to stay. Great location and staff are superb.
Magnificient place where you feel automatically at home. Girl at reception was friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable room including a flavorful breakfast on the rooftop with awesome view on the city.
Location: on the one hand our double bed private ensuite had a simply gorgeous view!! The building is classy and supernice, the area is residential and quiet... but it's a tad bit far from the city centre. so prepare for long walks (and climbs) if you cannot figure out Coimbra's bus system. Our room was wonderful and dreamy. Only downside is that we could hear e-ve-ry word our upstairs neighbours said. The included breakfast was superb and WITH spectacular view. Staff supernice! Would come back!
