Capsule

Capsule est tres bien situé, peu cher et pratique, c’est indéniable. Mais à ce prix là, il ne faut pas s’attendre à grand chose. Les capsules sont assez spacieuses, et bien équipées (miroir lumineux, coffre fort, prises électriques, télévision SANS SON) mais elles ne sont absolument PAS insonorisées (bruit entrée/ sortie de la capsule, appels téléphoniques à 5h du matin et même du chant à 2h). Les matelas font environ 7/8 cm d’épaisseur, donc c’est comme si vous dormiez...

For the price of the pod I would expect something much cleaner. There were stains on my sheets and a weird odour in the stairwell. Also, I would not feel comfortable taking a shower in those showers because of the lack of cleanliness. For one night it's feasible, but I've stayed in many hostels in Asia that were significantly cleaner than this. As a solo female traveler I would not stay again.

Location is nice, room was very quiet. Secure and nice dark capsule to sleep in. Damp and mould inside locker. Not much common area space or other amenities.

Es un lugar interesante para los que quieran experimentar esta forma de alojamiento de cápsulas. La limpieza no está garantizada, ya que descubrí un calcetín desconocido detrás del televisor en el interior, y la habitación grande huele mucho a pie. Por la noche se escucha el susurro de tu cápsula vecina, por lo que no es apto para los que necesitan un ambiente tranquilo. Y NO HAY AGUA CALIENTE, prepárate para no ducharte.

First time here, very cool concept! Comfortable and private capsule set up, great location and friendly staff! Only downside is there are no real changing areas other than the capsule and the showers were in pretty rough shape - other than that it was good!

La douche que j'ai utilisée ce matin fut l'une des plus plaisante parmi tous les hébergements et hotels que j'ai fréquenté a Montréal. Si le bruit est absent, le repos aux Capsules Hotel sur St-Laurent est l'un des meilleurs a cause de la noirceur le matin qui aide a prolonger la nuitée. Le personnel est très gentil et accomodant.

Great location and matches the photos, but hygiene can be an issue. Strong odors (humidity/urine) near some cabins — mine was close to the bins and drains. Only 2 toilets for over 50 cabins, which causes delays. Capsules are spacious and modern, lockers are good. Common space is small but as described. Try to get cabins in the 20s or 50s for a better experience. In the end, despite a few drawbacks, the price is unbeatable, and at such a budget-friendly rate, it’s hard to complain too much.

Filthy. Like health and safety hazard unhygienic. Capsules good but not soundproofed in any way so you hear every time someone rolls over, opens a door, or uses the bathroom downstairs. If you’re unfortunate enough to be stuck below a couple who are drinking and talking all night (except when they’re having s*x and you have the displeasure of hearing and feeling everything) then don’t count on any sleep. This was perfect for my purposes (having a quiet and secure place to crash while attending a congress/festival). The capsule rooms were a delight and there was always washrooms and showers available. I would have liked for there to have been more food options/breakfast available (There is a vending machine, coffee machine, microwave, and water dispenser, but no fridge, dishes, etc). If you are looking for a social hostel experience than I would look elsewhere.

Capsule rooms a lot bigger than I thought! Felt like a campervan vibe, was clean too. Shared areas were a bit more grim but overall okay. Big storage lockers also available.

All is good, only negative comment is there is no sink to get water to drink in common area.

If you just need a good bed, this is the hostel to be in Montreal.

Felt like a Sci-fi movie. If you’re claustrophobic this is NOT for you, but otherwise, don’t be intimidated by the amount of people in the dorm. It was exceptionally quiet and dark, and I really enjoyed the privacy of the individual pods. No place to hang out in the hostel, not a social hub, but walkable to the nice downtown area! Staff was very helpful

This place is great and the capsules are stunning, most of the staff are outstanding. It doesn’t really have much of a social vibe at all and if you are a remote worker it can be challenging. The location is outstanding away from the sketchy areas. They don’t provide breakfast but there is a grab and go cafe up the street. I wish the ac was stronger and there were places for remote workers to work but regardless would strongly recommend this place and the price is good.

Pros: location, capsule beds are VERY cool. Cons: staff are super hard to communicate with, I helped 2 different people get a hold of them because they simply don’t reply and there’s no one physically there to help you. There is only one bathroom but somehow despite the room being fully booked I never waited to use it??? But I could see it being an issue. Very little social area, but kitchen has amenities. Overall I would stay again for the price.
