An absolutely fantastic hostel. Michael is a great boss, and he and his wife are simply wonderful. The staff is also very friendly. It's very clean, there's plenty of space, and a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. I would defini...
Great staff, location and accomodation
This is a great place to stay in Fujiyoshida! The location is amazing, and the staff is so helpful in order to tell you where to go, what to see, or eat. There’s great restaurants all around, and you have a wonderful view on the beautiful Fuji. Tiny downside I found was that the dorm rooms could not be locked, but it’s overall a safe region! Will definitely return when I need some Fuji-Time again.
Great hostel! Beds were nice, free coffee and tea, everything was clean. The location is amazing, close to some really great viewpoints. Make sure you’re aware of the train times though if you go to the lake! They can be an hour apart later in the evening making it harder to get home. Would easily stay here again!
View of mt. Fuji was amazing. Room was clean and quiet. Good location right next to the train! Customer service went beyond helping us with directions to and from the hostel. They even helped me get my lost bag back from the restaurant downstairs. Thank you!
Very good hostel. Michael was extremely helpful and nice, he gave us a lot of useful information about hiking Mount Fuji. Would definitely stay again.
Overall very nice place to stay! Great location if you want to hike Fuji/go to 5th station. Bathrooms and showers were nice and very clean. Lockers provided for valuables if you want them. People were pretty social despite the lack of a centralized common area. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative remarks were that the big bunk room was very was at night, but for the price still very reasonable.
perfect location for mt Fuji, bedrooms were small and no place for luggage but if you’re merely going to Fuji it’s perfect. Shops and restaurant close by and station is a 10 min walk
great place to stay in Fuji, (I believe) cheapest in town, very clean with free tea/coffee, only one shower with hair dryer, rooms a bit densely stacked
Decent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early, but the next day figured out the reason for that is that they come in and start cleaning the rooms at 9:00 am. We were still packing up our things and they took the sheets off our bed. Very good ramen place nearby that Michael recommended. I would say that there are a few too many beds in each room and not enough showers for everyone staying there.
Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir würden es jedem weiterempfehlen.
It was a lovely place, very professional. i stayed 3 nights and was a fan of the overall atmosphere.
Great location and great staff. Loved my stay here.
Superbe hostel, bien placé, extrêmement propre, un excellent rapport qualité-prix ! Je recommande vivement !
A true backpackers hostel. There are no frills. It is nice because you feel more like you are in a Japanese home. Good place to meet people despite small size and lack of common room. Everyone was very nice. If you are looking for a place to really relax this is not the place for you.
Terrible hostel, good location. Owner refused to let us (and others) keep our luggage within the hostel after checking out, which is a very standard request among many hostels. Was very annoyiny, both us and other people had to either carry our luggage until our ride to the next destination arrived or spend a lot of money on coin lockers, that arent even close to the hostel. overall I do not recommend
I took this hostel because it was the cheapest. The room is suupperrr small. It’s difficult to even walk in the room. I had to sleep with my backpack on the bed. There’s also no commun area. Only 3 tables in the hallway and a space outside if you’re lucky and it’s not raining. It’s okay for one night but wouldn’t stay longer than that.
Location of hostel is great, close to Main Street and famous pagoda. Rooms are small and max amount of beds squeezed in so no much space around your bed.
very nice place!
This hostel was top tier especially within the price range in Mount Fuji. Michael and his staff are all super helpful and provide relevant recommendations based on your visit. The facility is cleaned everyday and you can tell Michael invests a lot of time in creating a comfortable environment. While staying at the hostel we met great people where we ended up getting drinks together in Tokyo. Overall, this is a hostel I recommend for solo or group travellers. Cheers, Nick
