A beautiful hostel in a stunning mountainside community. The host, Thomas, and the chef, Sacha, were very nice and helpful. The hostel is very new, so it was lacking in atmosphere, but the staff made me feel welcome and entertained me when they could. Everyone in La Loma was friendly and welcoming, so I would recommend staying here if you want to experience more of a local vibe. Also, the view from the rooftop at night speaks for itself.

Thomas is so nice and cool but this place is remote and far, if you don't mind that, then it's great. while there i tried being friendly with folks, every1 seemed french and after a while i understood they didn't really want to speak with me, maybe because I'm from the US, so i can't blame them. who can stand the US anymore these days? lol

Super accueil de Thomas et Lili, on s’est très vite senti comme chez nous et c’était vraiment un pincement au cœur de devoir nous en aller de cet Hostel. Tant de générosité et de sympathie, vous trouverez pas mieux à Medellín !
Super accueil, thomas lili et armendo sont des personnes exceptionnelles. La chambre est propre et agréable. Foncez les yeux fermés !!!
wir hatten eine super Zeit im Hostel, jeder war extrem hilfsbereit & es war eine weltklasse Erfahrung nicht nur die klassischen Tourispots zu erkunden!
Très très bon séjour, l'endroit est atypique, très bien accueilli, très bon conseils, dîné du soir excellent. Convivialité et simplicité. Un excellent moment passé à l' hostal del Cielo.
Amazing view over the city. If you are staying in Medellin for more than one night I highly recommend staying here for at least a night. Easy enough bus to downtown and back. Wonderful and helpful hosts. Also this is the only hostel outside of the pico y placa border (if have a vehicle this is important!).
Lugar muy acogedor, parece de estar en una familia, lo que logró Thomas con el hostal y con el proyecto Call me Mami es increíble! Súper recomendado por los que quieren tener una experiencia más local de Medellín y de su gente. Muchas gracias Thomas!
Hostel dans un barrio très safe, un accueil par Thomas, Lily, Armando et Sacha de qualité. Petits déjeuners, dîners excellents ! N'hésitez pas à demander conseils à vos futurs hôtes ils connaissent bien Medellin ! J'y reviendrai !
Best hostel view in all of Medellin. good place to chill out. owner was incredibly nice and helpful. not a lot of people staying here but the ones who did were social. only downside is that it's far from most activities so taxi costs can get a bit expensive. still highly recommend to experience a different side of Medellin.
Great experience of a favella community environment without needing to worry about safety. Very friendly community and felt very safe and comfortable walking around, even to neighbouring communities. Basic shopping, haircuts etc all around area and atm 25 minutes walk away (and it is a fascinating walk!). Worth it just to support Thomas and what he is doing in the community. Glad I came.
the staff here are amazing, lovely local run hostel with fantastic people. i stayed on my last night in medellin and they made me feel right at home. it is a bit quiet but that’s what i was looking for after a hectic few months of travelling.

Super friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere + an incredible view
Einzigartiges Hostel. Wer abseits von dem touristischem Trubel eine authentische Erfahrung haben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Das Viertel ist sehr sicher und die Leute sind unglaublich herzlich und interessiert. Die Aussicht ist wohl das Highlight, absolut einmalig!

Cet endroit est merveilleux grâce à Thomas et tout son staff. L’hostel est reculé des endroits touristiques habituels, et venir la bas, c’est participer à un super projet inséré dans le barrio auprès des populations locales. Thomas propose également des nuits chez des familles, ce afin de les aider et partager un quotidien authentique. We loved the hostel. We stayed here for our last night in Medellin, the view over the city was spectacular, the staff were really friendly. We had dinner there and as it was the birthday of another guest this turned into a bit of a celebration with half of the hostel and some local kids that came for dinner as well. It is a bit of a distance up some steep hills from the city centre so I would recommend using the taxi drivers the hostel recommend to get around but there are set reasonable rates.
