Cuando llegue al hostal, estaba cerrado por la policía y ni me avisaron, ni cancelaron mi reserva y si me cobraron, no lo recomiendo.

The space is very Smokey. The room for smoking is not isolated and the whole place is full of smoke as people hang in that room and smoke all day and night. The staff is kind, but they stay in one of the dorm rooms also. All the pots are burned, the toilets and showers stayed dirty and often not supplied with toilet paper and soap. The entry from the street stayed open. It’s cheap. So affordability is good, but not well kept/managed unfortunately. It’s mostly all dudes staying there.

One of my worst experiences I had in Medellin. Location is good bot for the rest this sucked. There was music from inside the hostel until 6h in the morning. They were really loud and couldnt sleep. The people who also worked there didnt say anything about this but they let the music play themselves. The common area is just next to the dorms so you can hear everything. Dont recommend going here at all if you want z good night sleep.

I book 2 nights at this place and do nothing get threatened by an employee that if don't leave because of some made up story a Colombian man says there going to call the police and put me in jail until it's dealt with I highly recommend not staying here they didn't even give me enough time to get everything I lost a pair of sony XM headphones in the process

Honestly good vibe most staff was helpful but one girl heavier set had it out for me she was like hateful for no reason. Made my stay there uncomfortable she should not be working at any sort of hostel. I also left my skateboard for a friend in Medellin to pick up and donate to someone who needs it and they are refusing to give it to him. Kind of sketchy. I would stay here again but man can’t believe the way they treat people just because they are a different race. She should be fired.

Almanik Viajero has 2 locations. One location on Circular 3 steet and one location on Circular 5 street about two blocks away. I would recommend not booking online ahead of time or paying a deposit online, but instead just show up and pay at the desk when you check in. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but they struggle with online reservations.

The facilities were quite basic. There were no lockers, and the one in the bed was completely broken and unusable. Anyone could open it, even with a lock, so I couldn’t leave my belongings there. The neighborhood is generally good, though there’s a lot of noise at night from people. That’s expected, though, as this is more like a party or social hostel for budget-conscious travelers. The value for money is decent. The beds were uncomfortable, and the curtains barely stood up.

All in all the hostel is fine. It’s not too clean but most areas were cleaned every day. The washing service is quite expensive. The stuff is very nice and helpful. But it’s not really a place to meet other tourists. Feels more like some co-living.

staff is nice but this place is so loud. felt like sleeping in a bus terminal. obviously this is partly due to the location but there is also loud (and lowkey bad) music playing all day from reception as well. all the common areas are right outside the room (and the door doesnt really close) so it is very hard to rest and feel comfortable here. and only one bathroom for the entire hostel!! the price is so low for a reason. i would not suggest staying here

Um dos melhores hostels que já fiquei em minha viagem. Ele é simples, mas cumpre seu papel. Camas confortáveis, cozinha pequena, porém bem equipada e um ambiente para relaxar e socializar. Staff are nice and very helpful. Rooms are abit worn, locker space is hard to come by and some of the lockers are broken. my bed had a wall beam whicb stuck out above it which meant i did actually mash my head against the ceiling twice in my sleep, id maybe move this bunk bed from the room bc the top bunk is truely shi*! they also only had one working bathroom at the time but continued to have the hostel full which is kinda a bad move from management!

Alright. Nothing glemerous but an easy place to stay in. The kitchen gets easily crowded and the refrigerator is always very full.
