It’s the only hostel in Paramaribo. It is a beautiful, old wooden house. It can get very warm, but the dorms are equipped with fans (no AC). They can organize tours with local tour operators for you. They also arrange transportation, i.e. to Guyana. But be sure to confirm the time several times. I checked about my transfer at 4.45am three times and it was confirmed to me. In the end the bus left at 3.45am without me. Luckily the security guard called another bus for me to pick me up.

good stay in a good location in parbo. staff are paid employees and not volunteers so it has more of a hotel vibe where the workers and folks staying are separate, no music,interaction, social environment encouraged in the common space.

Aside from an attempt to elicit more money from me as I was checking out with no explanation of the cause, the staff was ok. Not very friendly or helpful but readily accessible. There were a number of tourist sites in walking distance. My biggest issue was the cash-only culture that was a surprise. The hostel might emphasize it in their ad so travellers could be forewarned.

I had a great time. The location is great, super walkable go everywhere you need to go. Staff was super helpful with arranging everything. I had a private room and the ac was amazing.

The girl on the front desk when we arrived was quite rude and not helpful at all. The rest were great. The room was roasting hot, the fans were not enough (I know they have ac rooms for more, I would recommend paying it). The shared bathroom/shower was a little leaky so the floor was always wet.Location was great, walkable to the centre with lots of food and drinks options nearby. The atmosphere was good with a few others around for a good chat and beer.

It's the only hostel in paramaribo so there are no alternatives and honestly I think that's the problem for the hostel because they don't try very hard to improve. Most receptionists are unfriendly, nothing is done about the mosquitos in the 5p dorm (no mosquito nets but open window) or in the common room. Also the house is very noisy and doors don't close well which makes it even noisier at night.

Great spot! This is a place where it's close to everything. Staff was very helpful. Room was nice, although it was hot, the room I was in a spot breeze was easily accesible and fans were enough to beat the heat. They also have nice hammocks and outside spots to relax out of the heat and sun! Totally reccomend! Also English friendly, for tourist who don't speak Dutch

The worst hostel I've stayed in! Staff were reckless when giving keys to guests. Didn't verify if another person was already staying there or not. Fridge wasn't working and flooding in other areas. Not a social hostel either.

Nice building with good amenities, friendly staff, plenty of lounge area, very close to everything in town, appreciate the fans in the room. Unfortunately there were bedbugs or other biting critters in my bedroom, so hope those are cleaned out by the next stay since they made it impossible to sleep well.

Centrally located hostel with helpful staff. Clean and organised throughout. Would recommend.

good hostel but I arrive and my bed was not done and during the night, a boy came in my bedroom because it was his bed ! moreover I paid an account on internet but I must paid the totality after ! so I paid twice the account
