Very friendly nice staff Beatifull nature area to walk around. Clean rooms and had a lovely stay. January was cold, but fascilities were good. Also easy to arrange a taxi.
It's a really great property, located in the perfect area. The location makes it very convenient to get around and explore dharamkot. The staff members are extremely polite, friendly, and helpful, which made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant experience and highly recommended.!!
Very well located. The staff is jolly. The private room sizes & bathrooms are spacious. But the rooms are not clean. There were bugs & all kinds of insects in the bed. The door won’t lock from the inside, had to do jugaad since the management staff didn’t bother. No fan provision, in monsoons the place goes damp, stuffy & smelly. The toilets look fitted with everything but nothing works like hot water geyser, exhaust fan, hair dryer etc. Cafe is stuffy & unhygienic. Food is average.
The management of this hostel chain is not only incompetent but also exhibits a cunning disregard for guest welfare. Their unwelcoming demeanor creates an unpleasant atmosphere, making guests feel more like intruders than valued patrons. Despite a pending refund of ₹2,700, the team remains unresponsive, highlighting their selective attention to financial matters—they are quick to demand payment but turn a blind eye when it’s time to issue refunds. Alt life’s a great hostel with decent food. Locations is a 5-10 minute walk away from Dharmakot and 30 from McLeod Ganj (where the Dali Lamas temple and the Tibetan government is located). We went in winter and the room was cold but the duvet is thick and the bed very comfortable. If you want to trek to Triund this can be done in a day very comfortably from door to door. I highly recommend as it was one of the best days I’ve had on my trip so far.
Great hostel, clean, beautiful, and great location !
The pictures are definitely fancier than the reality. The view down the road is nice but the rooms dont live upto the mark. Its an old hotel converted into hostel and its easy to make that out the moment you walk in. It doesnt feel that fresh and clean. The bathrooms are tiny and the material used for construction definitely cheap.
