Pub Ceylon Hostel

The actual hostel itself is quite nice, they have nice rooms, a lovely pool, polite staff, great location right in the centre of Ella, however maybe we were very unlucky as we were the only people in the entire hostel, just us two… not one other person… so at the moment there is a non existent social aspect but maybe that’s due to the season? There is also no water refill station

It is in the main road so you will hear lot of music but it was pleasant stay over all

nice stay at this hostel, was pretty empty so actually got the room to myself for one night which was great especially as it was super cheap. the loo and shower facilities are great, super clean and lots of them and the place does have loads of space for if it is busy. the location is good right in the middle of ella high street but that also means hay the music at night nearby goes on till late so bring some earplugs if your a light sleeper. overall i would definitely recommend this hostel

Staff so friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and spacious, loads of showers and bathrooms always clean aswell,

Prima locatie, midden in het centrum. Overdag veel geluiden van de straat, maar snachts geen last van gehad. Loopafstand van het station en restaurants etc zijn op nog geen minuut lopen. Schone kamer met warme douche.

Very weird hostel. They didn’t really knew of anything when we arrived so it took a bit before we got our room. The hostel is not cosy, got a bit of an abandoned and dilapidated atmosphere. Not as how described. We didn’t see anyone using the common areas. Swimming pool was ok. Private room has no airco, even though we were told there would be so. Lots of streetnoise.

Very central location but very loud as you hear the music from the nightclub and restaurants. But located right in the Main Street, many food options. No exact explanations from staff what belongs to the property and what we can use. Whole bathroom is flooded after a shower. Pool is nice. Bed sheets and towels weren’t the cleanest, had to wait for check in as the room wasn’t ready at 4:30 PM. Owner has no real plan, doesn’t know how much we need to pay. No signs for the hostel on the road ...

Hostel is devided over 2 buildings (not indicated). The cheaper private room does NOT have AC eventhough there is indicated there is. Luckily it wasnt that warm but otherwise ur cooked. Upon arrival there was no staff present and after calling and waiting 45 min they didnt know of my reservation. Didnt see anyone in the hostel during my 48 hr stay, not the most social place. Though, the staff in my part (the left building) was really nice though and room was clean and sufficient.
