The Hosteller Rishikesh, Ganges

pros - great location, Rahul on reception is really helpful and went above and beyond to help us! also the rooftop had a great view of rishikesh. cons - wifi barely works which makes it difficult to order food and the tv didn't work, beds are very short (I'm 5'9 and didn't fit), have to order from cafe via app which is really janky, asked to switch to a private room as I was ill and they said the only option was a superior room(v nice) but later realised there were cheaper rooms available

The facilities are very good. Clean, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, the hostel is very large and anonymous and many people seemed to be there for work. Therefore, it is not the right location to meet other travelers. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing rooms with super comfy beds and an epic rooftop with Ganga views. The rooftop has multiple areas for hanging out which I loved. Not a super social vibe but the hostel wasn’t very full when I was there. Main issue is the Luxman Jula footbridge being closed, which makes it very hard to get to Tapovan when boats aren’t running, which we found annoying, but once the bridge is fixed I think location will be 10/10

Good hostel but its quite expensive and you have to pay extra for all sorts of essentials. dorms are good and clean and staff is nice

It is a perfectly nice hostel. I booked a 6 bed female dorm and was sharing with 3 members of staff you worked there all who were very nice but not quite what I had expected. Not the most social hostel but the roof terrace is lovely, a nice place to sit and relax.

Community activities not that good they only play Mafia with guests and have seen this across other hosteller properties as well. Can improve in community building with other activities rather than sticking too only few outdated things.

Solid hostel with clean facilities, rooms and beds. Rooftop cafe view is excellent. Only downside a bit out of the way of main parts of town in rishikesh/tappvan. Especially given that Lakshman Jhula bridge is closed for at least next 6 months - next closest bridge is Ram Jhula which is 30 mins walk away.

Super, la double terrasse est sympa. Les chambres sont confortables. Petit hic sur la taille des lits, attention aux personnes de grande taille, je touchais le bout. Il s’agit d’une grille métallique donc pas possible de dépasser (je mesure 1m87).

in general the hostel is definitely worth the money. For me personally it would have been really beneficial to have a kitchen for self-preparation of food and a fridge which are not there at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful and tries everything to make your stay convenient what is definetely a great support. I can recommend the spot

I had a great stay here, would definitely recommend! :)

Stay experience was compromised because of other travellers not being kept under control. Drinks and smoke and loud music were played throughout the night blocking the 3rd floor deck. Common waiting area also had used cans and cigarettes lying around. One of the dorms had a foul smell too which got attention on raising. Staff was helpful but should take steps to avoid this issues firstplace as our stay exp was ruined as it was of one night itself.

The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Felt very private with curtains and has plugs and lights by the bed as well as amazing storage by the side of the bed and underneath. They were amazing at helping us for laundry and booking transport. They even have helped at shipping some clothes I had left I the hostel to Delhi. They really go over expectations and just all round amazing
