This hostel has bed bugs!! We found out when we got to our room. We told the staff and they took this very serieus. They send us to another hostel because they have the same owner, however this hostel was even dirtier. The hostel is called koala hostel, the room has no curtains, it was very dirty, it had no airco and it was very noisy.

I couldn't sleep. There's a lot of bed bugs. And the West in the matter they don't bite you in anything.

When we was ready to sleep and put the cover away all the sheet was full with bedbugs, and we saw some more at the flor. The hostel was furnished in a very old style with old furnitures with a type of smell and probably a bunch of bedbugs.

Bed bugs in the dorm! I thougth it was mosquitoes and did not say anything. And I saw them applying mastic during the day without thinking much of it at the time. But now I understand that they knew and left me to sleep there 2 more nights! I even got bed bugs in my bags and had to wash everything and spend a fortune in sprays when I got home... (the storage of luggage is in timber under the bed).

Bed bugs in the bed and still no refund. When I informed the man at reception he was apologetic and changed my beds but the next morning when I went to the lady and informed her that my new bed had bed bugs and I wanted a full refund as I was not going to stay at the hostel anymore I did not even get an apology and am still waiting for a refund or even any contact regarding my refund 2 weeks later

I went with two other people and we all got bed bugs, left an email to the owner and have no received a response. Told the staff and they said they can’t do anything about it. Our door did not shut either. Good location.

Don’t stay here. Read google reviews, there were bed bugs. This place was fully empty and so was the room!!

The place is really beautiful and super close to the Central Train Station. But there are bedbugs in the room 11.

Overall a great last-minute stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room styling was very nice. The only things that were suboptimal were that the water pressure in the shower was very low and that there were bed bugs.

This hostal (Coconut Hostel) has a serious problem with bed bugs. I reserved this hostal for 2 nights, on the first one I was sleeping for an hour when I woke up and realized that I had plenty of hives on my arms and legs. I started seeing bedbugs on the bed. I decided to get out of my room and look for a solution but there was nobody to help me because nobody works at night, so I preferred to stay in lobby that night without sleeping. For the second night, the receptionist give me the solution

My room and bathroom were clean and well equipped - no complaints. Staff were friendly. The communal areas were very quiet. There weren’t many other travellers to talk to. I had no bedbugs in my room but someone was complaining they had some in there’s when I was checking out so I think it depends what room you’re in.

Please contact me at [email protected] There were bed bugs in my room. I’ve been trying to email the website customer service email, but receive an automatic response saying the email doesn’t exist and is undeliverable. I had to check out at 1AM and need a refund from the website for the deposit as well as compensation for having to spend the night in a cafeteria at a near by hostel because no more rooms were available. I had to leave clothes behind to not risk taking the bed bugs

Tooo many bed bugs !!! My legs and hands are full if bites :( when I first got to the property it looked clean and nice but the next morning I’m now itching all over ! Other than that it’s a good location

The staff tried hard to make my stay decent, but it seems like since Covid the place has been skimping on costs of upkeep. In part because of this, there were bed bugs and nonfunctional AC that made sleeping incredibly difficult. I hope they turn it around as their location and friendliness were good.

The location is great, and I felt really safe during my stay at Coconuts, but unfortunately, I found bed bugs on my bed, and that ruined everything. Also, I stayed there during the summer when the weather in Milan was like 30–37 degrees almost every day, and the staff kept the air conditioning at 27 degrees, and it was a nightmare to sleep with this temperature. The staff informed me that there is a municipal regulation that requires that people keep the air conditioning at around 27 degrees. Bullshit. They could simply be honest and inform people that they keep this temperature to save energy. Unfortunately it was not a good experience.

The place is clean enough, the staff are friendly and it has some really nice furniture. Other reviews of this place made me nervous about bed bugs. The street has a slightly dodgy vibe but it’s not the worst I’ve seen, just maybe don’t wander around at night. Bed was comfy and air conditioning worked well

THERE WERE BEDBUGS!!!! RUINED MY TRIP! Staff don't care about complaints. bathroom doors don't close. looks nice but dirty, unpractical, noisy AC and take care of the bedbugs already!! this is unacceptable. One of the worst..

Quirky hostel, with a variety of shared spaces - the room itself was small, but there was a conservatory and balcony, so plenty of space to relax outside the room. The location was decent, I felt pretty safe in the area and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The bathroom setup is a bit impractical (sink inside shower room, separate to toilets). My sister unfortunately got bed bugs, but it's a hazard of traveling, and the property handled it well which is the important part.
