Very cozy stay, clean rooms, with free portable water, microwave and amazing breakfast. Beautiful view from the backyard. Staffs are really nice. Only drawbacks : The hostel is a little far away from the city center, maybe 30 minutes walk. The shower facility is not that good and there’s no hairdryer.
a little bit out of the way but a great place to stay.
Overall a great stay. Clean room, clean bathroom, I like the sink in the rooms and the free breakfast offering. The discounted ski pass and rentals on property was the best part!! Bus stop right outside was great too. Mattress left something to be desired. Wished there was somewhere to lock up personals in the rooms since that is normally standard. Also was hoping for a bit more of a social atmosphere but maybe I didn’t stay for long enough. I’ll be back this year though for longer!
Simple place to sleep in between hikes but there is no hot water for our entire stay. So after long sweaty days we had to shower in ice cold water which was miserable. I would not stay here again because of that.
Rooms are comfortable and cozy, beds have 1 USB point and light each. The bathrooms were probably the worst part of this hostel. The shower heads are poor and just kind of spit water at you, also have to run the water for a few minutes pressing the timer button for warm water. Toilets often smelt of urine aswell. Bathrooms in lobby were great. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. I did find the hostel attracts somewhat of an odd crowd. Would recommend solo females book female rooms
Amazing place to stay, away from the town centre but very close. The food was brilliant.
Bonne cuisine bon petit dejeuner, bonne ambiance ,toujours content de venir chez vous. Rémi Naudo
The check in times on hostel world were incorrect, so when I arrived it was actually self check in. Not a big deal, but this made it so I couldn’t get a towel which was pretty disappointing (I know it’s my bad for not having a travel towel, but after a long day of 2 buses and expecting to be greeted by staff this was a bit of a blow). Showers are sub par and just a pipe with water coming out. There is also a sign asking to not wear shoes in the shower….. I think it is a golden rule of stay...
In general decent hostel but could use some improvements. Rooms are gender separated but bathrooms on lower level are not. Also, the hostel offered lunch and dinner, but it was not available when we asked at reception. The bar and common room downstairs is a good setup, but it only opens on June 15th - too bad! Atmosphere a bit quiet and hard for people to mix and mingle. There is no kitchen or sink for use, only a fridge. Walking to town is 20min. In the summer it could be a fun hostel.
The staff was very friendly! Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled of urine so badly it was hard not to vommit. I didn’t shower my entire stay because of this… There was no internet in my room and one outlet for 6 beds right by the door. The last bus back to the hostel from town is around 8:30pm, otherwise it’s a long walk in the dark.
About as good as you can do for the price of chamonix. The bus stop right near the hostel is nice. Pretty chill vibe. Break fast included is simple but nice. Feels like a college dorm which reminded me of Covid. Very helpful staff. Beds are standard but again feels kind of like a government building. In a beautiful place
Pro: Good location, friendly and helpful staff, everything was clean, free bus to get around chamonix and very good discounts for ski passes and rentals Negatives: Only one powerpoint in a room of six is absurd, also no wifi in the rooms at all. The lack of soap for washing hands was also irritating. Two bad events occurred whilst I stayed at the hostel which were purely the fault of drunk guests, however I feel both incidents could have been handled better by the hostel.
AGreat place
great place to stay, minutes walking from the bus station that leaves you right in the center of the village awesome staff and services included like the ski pass is super helpful
Really great for a budget friendly stay in chamonix. The rooms are cosy, shower is hot and the included breakfast was super. The bar has a great atmosphere. Their discounted ski pass is amazing value and you also get a free transport card to get around the valley. About 20 min walk from Cham Sud with good connections.
Nice place, good for a cheaper stay in Chamonix. No wifi or signal really in bedrooms and wifi in common areas temperamental. And only one charging socket in each room which made things a little awkward. Apart from that nice place, decent breakfast, lovely staff.
Great place to stay, good variety of food and interesting people to meet and chat with, handy ski bus stop just outside.
This hostel the best value in Chamonix. There is a bus stop right outside that takes you to the ski hills and it's one of the first stops along the route so you're guaranteed a seat. The atmosphere was fantastic, the common areas are large and comfortable. I stayed for 4 nights and there was live music 2 of the nights where I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. There is ski and snowboard rentals right on sight . dinner is offered at an additional cost but the food is fantastic!
Awesome hostel and perfect place to stay for chamonix. Bus stop right outside that will take you to the center or also a pleasant walk. Awesome staff and sweet cabin/mountain vibes
