Desa Hostel

We had a lovely stay at the Desa Hostel. Pudu and Dedi were super kind and lovely to talk to. Also the food is really good!

Amazing hostel and staff! It’s a must go if you are ever in munduk!

Hostel au milieu de la nature avec des espaces hyper spacieux, une literie confortable et surtout un personnel au top. Restauration sur place. Je recommande pour une parenthèse de verdure

Very friendly staff, they told us a lot about the balinese culture and way of living, clean rooms and bathroom, very big beds, good food in the restaurant, especially the cooking class was great: we learned about traditional offering and cooked trqditional Indonesian Food in a real kitchen, and they made everything vegan for us

Best hostel I‘ve stayed at in my 3 months of travelling! The people working there are so kind and really made sure I had the best time! Beds are so comfortable and everything is clean. 10/10! :)

It’s easily one of the best Hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The beds are so comfy, the bathrooms are very nice the hostel is beautiful and the breakfast is really something!!! But what makes this place so great is the people, Dedi and Poutou are really nice, interesting and funny people you are guaranteed to have a nice time in this beautiful place.

Thanks so much fo this great stay, such a amazing place, staff are so lovley there. I will definely coming back soon. This Hostel is such 10/10. everything is perfect

Loved my stay here!!! Felt so welcome even though it was low season and not many guests I had an amazing peaceful time. I highly recommend doing the cooking class!! Such a highlight

If we didn’t have a flight to catch we would’ve stayed here so long. The staff were so so friendly and immediately made us feel welcome with passionfruits straight from the tree, tea and local desserts! They aren’t lying by advertising “special wooden beds”; they’re so comfortable and cosy and the dorms are very spacious- felt like a castle. Dit echt een pareltje! Ik ben ontzettend blij dat ik de knoop hen doorgehakt en naar Munduk ben afgereisd ver weg van het toeristische centrum van Bali. Ik had een perfect verblijf in dit hostel waar je ook terecht kan voor ontbijt en diner. Je kan ook een scooter huren bij het hostel om de waanzinnig mooie omgeving te verkennen. Ik vond het alleen een kleine uitdaging om het hostel te bereiken en om weg te komen. Echter is dit ook de charme van de plek.

The hostel is located in a beautiful rural area of bali. Most of the attractions to visit around munduk are quite a travel away from the hostel so you need to rent a scooter or hire a guide. i was travelling in a pair so we were recommend to hire a guide. The tour was very beautiful however we felt a little expensive as the guide didn’t give us much information and was more of a driver between each location. the hostel was clean, the garden was beautiful and the beds are rlly big. I loved my time in this hostel! The hospitality of the hostel staff was extraordinary and it's the perfect spot to get some rest from the chaotic south of bali! Definitely recommend going by scooter and driving around the area

Had such a great time here. Was meant to stay for 4 days out had to push it back a day because I had my bag stolen. They were so helpful and lovely, they actually helped me get my phone back! Putu acted as a great tour guide and drove me around for three days showing me the sights. Daddi was so lovely and helped me plan lots of things. The food is amazing and the beds are huuuge. I could not recommend this place more. The staff are the best and the area is beautiful. 10/10 recommend visiting.

Such a cosy little hostel, Putu and daddy were great hosts and gave me heaps of tips of things to do in the area. Beds are amazing.

I already want to go back. Best hostel ever. I was in a pretty unique situation, being the only person in the hostel (due to low season), and it was AMAZING. The staff made me feel so welcome and at home, I was never lonely and learned so much about the local culture, nature, and environment. The rooms and beds are big and comfy, and the place itself is beautiful, but it is the people that make this hostel a 12 out of 10! If possible I would rate even higher. Definitely will come back!

An incredible hostel with the most kind and friendly staff. My favourite hostel in Bali I’ve ever stayed at. The food here is incredible favourite food in Bali as it is authentic. The cooking class they offer is such a cultural and authentic experience, highly recommended. Highly recommended this place to anyone if you want to experience the real Bali. Thank you Desa xx

Putu and Dedi are the most kind people of the whole of Bali (and there are a lot of kind people on Bali)! From the moment you arrive untill the moment you leave, they will make you feel comfortable and they will help you with everything. I will come back here for sure!

Honestly the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It's so peaceful. Everything is clean and spacious. The staff are the loveliest people I've ever met. The surrounding area is so pretty and there are so many nice places to explore. And they have the cutest cuddly little cat.

J’ai adoré mon séjour à L’Hostel Desa à Munduk ! Les gens qui y travaillent sont incroyablement gentils, parmi les plus accueillants que j’aie rencontrés en Indonésie. Ils t’aident pour absolument tout, toujours avec le sourire. La nourriture est excellente, les chambres sont propres et confortables, et le calme du lieu est un vrai bonheur. Un endroit parfait pour se détendre, profiter de la nature et se sentir comme chez soi. Je recommande à 100% !
