Stayokay Utrecht - Bunnik

It should be made clear in the hostel description that one of the buildings is not directly beside the main one and the reception/bar. it's down a country lane and tucked away behind some trees. there were no staff in that building while I was there. in the event that something was to happen, I'd have had no way to get help other than leaving the building, travelling down a country lane and back to the main ones. would not recommend for solo travellers

Tolle Lage, zwar außerhalb der Stadt aber total idyllisch im Grünen. Das kostenlose Frühstücksbuffet ist ausgezeichnet für ein Hostel.

A good retreat from the city in a popular outdoor recreation center. The bunk rooms are separated from the check-in counter, but there are really no common spaces other than the hallway. I stayed in late August, where I would encounter young school groups around and see plenty locals eating at the cafe nearby. Breakfast had many options to choose from in a nearby building. A decent stop for a few days

A nice hostel in a beautiful setting. There was a children’s residential trip when I was there but I managed to stay out of their way. Very limited plug sockets in the room I was staying in. Luckily I had my portable charger.

Excellent place for a country getaway. Very peaceful surrounds. Easy bike ride into town. The pancake restaurant down the road is a nice spot for lunch. Overall a great experience here.

La actitud del personal de este lugar es lamentable, no os recomiendo como hostel. No son profesionales a la hora gestionar un problema, es más se lavan las manos, y hacen que aquí no pasó nada. Y literal NO TE RESUELVEN NADA!! Cuando evidentemente necesitas que te lo solucionen, no se les ocurre otra que hacer y decir "sabemos que es frustrante pero..." PERDONA !!? Buscaros otro sitio, porque vuestra estadía puede convertirse en una pesadilla. Hacedme caso.

I would recommend without hesitation

It's such a lovely place, peaceful and the services 10/10 however it wasn't easy to arrive at first so it's a bit of a struggle, also not enough energy sockets to connect devices, but despite those, it was one of the best hostels I have stayed so far

Achtung, ich war vor einer Woche dort und habe mit einer Freundin dort übernachtet. Leider habe ich mir dort Bettwanzen in dem Zimmer R eingefangen!! Vorsicht

The breakfast was royal! The surroundings are amazing with a great deal of nature you can wander by bike or walking. Thank you!

Good hostel. Nice bar in the old stables. Good breakfast. Centre of Utrecht is walking distance, just about, but easier if you rent a bike. Nearby fortress is interesting but only seems to open at weekends and on Wednesdays. Nearby Therhuis restaurant is excellent.

Not bad at all and I would stay there again. The bedding is good and comfortable (though the upper bunks are hard for older folks to get into). Excelent breakfast. Lockers are adequate and grounds and area around the hostle are very nice. Easy to rent a bike and that is the best way to go into Utrecht. Getting to Amsterdam via public transport is also very easy. Parking is also very easy. Toilet and bath are only so-so, but it is a Hostel. One miss is no facility to do your own cooking.

The hostel has a great location and the staff is very friendly. However the facilities (at least in the secondary building) were not well cleaned and are kinda old so there’s a lot of noise (the doors must be clacked to be closed and there is not a lot of isolation).

Breakfast and the lush greenery and trails around property were the best part! One plug in socket for a room of 6 ppl. Bathroom and shower very small. Extremely squeaky and squishy floors. About 20min bike ride from Utrecht. But lots of wonderful trails and spots along river a walk or bike away. Not very social. They held a wedding there which was a bit awkward to walk thru hostel. Breakfast was amazing tho. Overall okay if you want nature vibes!

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, die Lage ist sehr ruhig und insgesamt ist das Hostel nicht sehr sozial. Für die Schränke braucht man unbedingt ein Vorhängeschloss. Die Ausstatung ist sehr sporadisch, keine Steckdosen an den Betten und eher kleine Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist dafür sehr umfangreich. Das Hostel ist sehr Fahrradfreundlich.

There was only 3 outlets for 6 people. The wasn’t pressure in the showerhead. The surroundings was really cozy.

Is a lovely place to relax. The surroundings its beautiful and the sunsets are amazing the included breakfast was awesome good many options to enjoy. The room is big just a small locker but it's not a big thing

Amazing stay here, what a beautiful spot a short bike ride away from Utrecht. We much preferred staying out here with the tranquility of the river, and I enjoyed sitting and reading in the morning sun. The breakfast was perfect, great vegan options and a really nice vibe. The only thing I would add was that the cafe was so busy in the afternoon that it was a bit confusing and awkward to know where to go and store our bikes safely for our stay!

Amazing surroundings and forest view, very good breakfast! The old building is astonishing. Kind staff.
