The best hostel I have stayed at in Central America so far. Volunteers and owner were super friendly and brought everyone together. Amazing common space.

Nice vibe, good to have AC in the rooms. Nice place to chill out. Can see the waves from the balcony so can just sit and watch people if you’re feeling tired. Short walk to the beach and staff very helpful.

Great hostel to stay at. I loved the atmosphere and common space. It felt like a very social place during our stay. It felt clean and bathrooms/rooms were cleaned everyday!

Besser kann man es einfach nicht haben! Super zentrales Hostel, tolle Atmosphäre. Gerade für solotraveler eine gute Anlaufstelle um Leute kennenzulernen! Denk nicht darüber nach, buch das Hostel!

very nice location, other that that its alright but expensive

I was positive impressed by the hostel as i first thought it might be a party place when it is located in the center of town. The view is really amazing and the place offers all you need in the kitchen, a good social vibe and some sleep ins are definitely possible. Highly recommended a stay there

I had a great time at the Karma Muse, very social, great volunteers, amazing atmosphere! There was something going on at the hostel every day. I stayed at the 4 bed female dorm with AC which was nice and clean. Great location also, right at the beach. Just keep in mind, El Tunco is a party town.

I loved this hostel so much! Perfect view, really nice social vibe, super cool volunteers, helpful stuff. It’s really close to shops, bars and beach. It has also the perfect view to the Surfspot! :)

Filthy dorm rooms! Beds are shaky and matresses are cover of plastic. When u move in bed, whole bunk moves and thanks to plastic, sounds like u sleep on top of garbage bags. 6 bunk beds in room where should be 4. No space for luggage, other guests (old guests?) clothes/dirty underwears etc everywhere. Cold water in shower.Only 1toilet/shower per room. There was 1 extra toilet on downstairs (but not shower- they use it as a storage).During my stay, they locked that one too. No real reseption.

Really disappointing stay. The whole place smells damp and musty and is generally grubby. There was mould on the mixed dorm ceiling too. We understand the sand due to surf-vibe but saw no attempt to clean. Kitchen is basic and smells of drains. Communal area cushions are black with dirt. Also, not enough lockers for the number of people in the dorms and very limited space in the rooms for bags so it gets very messy quickly. The aircon and proximity to the beach were the only positives.

A good social hostal close to the beach. Biggest downsides are the beds are super thin and uncomfortable. I also booked a 4 person female dorm and was put in a 6 person mixed dorm and they told me they couldnt move me to the female dorm.

Je ne recommande pas cet hostel. Il n'y a pas de photo du dortoir dans lequel j'ai dormi et avec raison car il n'en valait pas du tout le prix si bien que je n'y ai dormi qu'une nuit sur les 4 que j'avais payé. J'ai demandé un remboursement pour au moins 2 nuits mais l'établissement n'a rien voulu rembourser. Le dortoir est facilement accessible par la rue et la porte du dortoir n'est pas barré et il n'y a pas toujours de personnel à l'entrée. Lits non confortables, toilette pas propre.

Dont go here, especially the 1st floor, no locks on the doors, access to the street is right there so anyone could walk in. They had a volunteer living in there and she took over the room, had her stuff on every surface possible including in the washroom. Its built over a gross river, literally right under the beds is water. The bunk beds are terrible with no curtain, ver squeaky and have lots of movement because its cheap metal, the mattress is so thin you can feel the metal bars under you.

Fantastic hostel! The location can't be beat, right by the beach and you can scope out the surf from the patio. Very social and lots of group activities to meet people. Enjoyed it so much I extended my stay and circled back to el tunco a week later too!

Amazing vibes, friendly people, and very secure. The hostel is right in the center of El Tunco, walking distance to everything. The outdoor balcony has amazing views of El Tunco beach and river. Big kitchen with fridges that are clean! The staff clean the rooms daily. I will be coming back here!

Cool place perfect spot to see the waves

Close to the beach but thats about it. Late check-in (after 6pm!!) costs extra 5USD. My 4bed dorm turned out to be a 6bed dorm, but no reimbursement. Beds were horrible, probably the oldest and cheapest mattresses. You literally lie in a hole in the middle of the mattress. Dont recommend.

I had a great couple of days there. the property is right by the beach and stores. I stayed in the private room and I was quite happy with it. The people I met at the hostel were fun to hang out with.

The hostel is located right next to the beach and in a street full of surf shops/schools. Many restaurant and café’s close by too. The 4 bed AC room was nice and clean. No curtains tho, always a bit sad. Ensuite bathroom was kept clean. Didn’t use the kitchen, so can’t say anything about that. Volunteers and workers were friendly.
