Muy amables y limpio solo un poco retirado del centro

I rarely leave reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had and I feel obligated to warn others. The cleanliness of this hostel was unacceptable—there were roaches throughout the kitchen, and while I wasn’t able to safely take photos due to constant staff presence and cameras, I did witness them multiple times. The Hostal was Dirty in every corner. The toilets smelled badly and even after they where „cleaned“ they smelled terrible and where dirty. The showers had hairs all over the place and had mold on the walls. It was an unpleasant experience to stay there. The volunteers where friendly and helped within their possibilities. I would not recommend to stay in this hostel at all.

Dirty and moldy.There is a bed and a locker. That's it. No hangers, no shelves. No place to put a bottle of water even. No AC. They open the window instead, which is right at the main street. At this point, I don't see a difference sleeping on the street or above it.Moldy ceiling.Breakfast is a fodder, bread and jam. Everything in the kitchen was dirty.Toilets too. I might be too European. For me, this place is disgusting. Everyone here is latin and they seem fine with it.

Okay hostel, I only stayed one night. Not sure about the atmosphere, there was a creepy guy in my room, but maybe not the hostels fault

Had a great first time in GDL and Hostel Hidalgo. Convenient location as it is close to the heart of the city. Lots of places eat and wander. Hidalgo staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would come again in a heartbeat

A hostel or a survival challenge? With a reception offering hospitality at random, including a girl who always looks angry and can’t even return a simple “hello”. Noisy and outdated dorms without air conditioning, and bathrooms straight out of a horror movie, comfort is a foreign concept. The kitchen? A masterpiece of filth with no dishes. Breakfast? Nonexistent. Add a vibe that feels more hostile than welcoming, and you get an experience that won’t be forgotten.

Overall didn't care for the place. The staff was nice, welcoming, helpful. But I felt the place wasn't very clean. the showers and bathrooms were gross. the site says free breakfast but there was no breakfast either of the days I was there. I wouldn't recommend to others

The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The room was very clean however we were only given 1 towel and it was 2 of us. Breakfast is only toast, coffe, tea and raw uncooked oatmeal so that could definitely be improved. We had to go out and buy eggs to feel full.

Nos quedemos 3 noches en cuarto privado y todo fue perfecto. El hostal está súper bien ubicado, el personal de recepción muy muy amable, el desayuno lo más sencillo pero suficiente… recomiendo 100% este hostal !

Excelente servicio, el lugar muy limpio, las áreas comunes bastante cómodas, amplias y agradables, tiene una terraza increíble, baños limpios, regaderas con mucha privacidad y agua siempre caliente, el personal súper atento, 10 de 10.

we got stuck in Guadalajara dealing with some government paperwork and extended here multiple times. pretty clean and very nice staff

Pienso que fue agradable mi estancia, solo lo visite por un fin de semana, la habitación fue muy cómoda y limpia. No utilice la cocina pero se veía muy equipada. La ubicación es perfecta en la colonia americana, caminando podía llegar al centro. Lo único detalle es al momento de entrar al edificio tienes que tocar timbre y esperar a que te abran, por lo que no es independiente.

We had a good experience at the hostel. It's conveniently located. The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped. We had a private room on the rooftop with a nice view, but the street facing room can also get noisy from below. Free bread and coffee for breakfast is a bonus. A fellow traveling couple had some of their money stolen during our stay. We are lucky that it didn't happen to us. I hope the hostel will do something about it.

Stepping inside the room, very strong smell of those shoes, all night has strong noise level because facing the main road

An okay stay, the hostel was a decent price for a private room however it was so unbelievably noisy from the street we got no sleep. The room and bedding was dirty, weird stains all over the duvet and the floor was filthy. Showers were dirty and smelt bad. Breakfast included is poor and we hardly used it. There is NO VIBE whatsoever in this hostel . If you want a cheap ish room with decent location this is it but do not expect to meet people. The most awkward hostel in terms of vibe and social
