The room was very clean and the staff were nice, however the location was very hard to get to and was hard to get transport for a reasonable price to and from Unawatuna. Pick me tuktuks would not go up there.

Such an amazing hostel, one of the best i’ve ever stayed in, such a beautiful building and the rooms were so clean and modern, the balcony bar area is lovely and a great place to watch the sunset and the owners couldn’t have been nicer! :)

Wow what an amazing hostel, it's a lovely walk to the beach, this hostel is a hidden gem, very clean, very safe, they make the best ice teas, I met some amazing backpackers here, and the owners are lovely, friendly and they help with any questions you have. I really enjoyed getting to know them, and I would love to return one day. It's the perfect hostel to relax

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Hostel mit privatsphäre. Gemütliche Zimmer mit Balkon, schöner Gemeinschaftsbereich und sehr modern und sicher. Die Lage ist Bergauf über Unawatuna (ca. 15min zu Fuß in die Stadt) und dadurch sehr ruhig und angenehm. Für Personen die nicht gut bergauf oder ab laufen können daher nicht geeignet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Very chilled hostel in Unawatuna, friendly staff and great food. We stayed in the 4 bed dorm which was comfortable with a good shower. Location wise the hostel is around 10 minute walk from the Main Street, it is up a hill though and some of the tuk tuk drivers were reluctant to drive up the hill - or wanted to charge extra. Good access to Unawatuna beach or jungle beach the other side. Nice rooftop bar, food was excellent - definitely worth trying!

Didn‘t even plan to go here and booked it last minute, but this turned out to be one of my favorite hostels! The owners are super welcoming and helpful, always smiling and up for a chat! Rooms are super nice and clean and the food is sooo good! I would have stayed longer if I could :)

Der Eigentümer ist super nett und jederzeit zur Stelle, wenn man etwas benötigt. Auch das Hostel als solches ist bestimmt genial (siehe andere Bewertungen). Nur leider finden aktuell Bauarbeiten statt (wovon man nicht vor oder nach der Buchung informiert wurde) Diese können etwas Lärm verursachen und schränken das Betreten, der Terrasse unten und der beiden Fachterrassen extrem stark ein. Erkundigt euch vorher, ob alles wieder beim alten ist! Es soll noch ca. 2 Wochen dauern.

Die bisherigen guten Bewertungen kann ich durchaus nachvollziehen, das Hostel an sich und die Zimmer sind sehr schön, das Team echt nett. Für mich war es aber ein eher enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Ich hatte mich darauf gefreut hier über Weihnachten 3 ruhige Tage in der Natur zu verbringen, dies wurde jedoch durch anhaltende Bauarbeiten von 7:30 bis 21 Uhr am Haus zunichte gemacht. Meiner Meinung nach sollte man das seinen Gästen vor der Anreise mitteilen!

i can see the potential for Habibi, however it doesn’t currently look like the pictures. there are building works on the outside which make it look like an abandoned building and the roof was out of action so there is little to no common area. the front of house staff are friendly but there were three cleaners in our room who did not smile or say one word, which we thought was odd given that everybody we met in Sri Lanka is so friendly. we didn’t end up staying here as we just had a bad vi...

The hostel is very new and the rooms are beautiful! Everyone was so nice. It’s a very quiet hostel for now but has a lot of potential to have a very social and chill vibe!

This property is nice but please remember to let them know upon check in if anything’s missing cuz then they subtly blame it on you and will come check your room multiple times

Cozy and clean. Recommend staying here for anyone visiting Udawalawa.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit!! Der Gastgeber war super freundlich und hat mit uns gemeinsam den Abend ausklingen lassen, wobei er uns ganz viele Tipps für Sri Lanka weitergeben konnte. Im Hostel gab es eine liebe und familiäre Stimmung und wir freuen uns irgendwann nochmal wieder zu kommen!
