The Post Hostel

Good location, but value for money? - not exactly. Was charged hostelworld prepaid once again, the towels are 20 shekels, breakfast is 49 (not too good), and the kitchen / fridge are really terrible.

All of the bedding was dirty, hair was all over the sheets like they hadn’t changed it out. The location & spot wasn’t bad it’s so close to Old Jerusalem so that was a plus.

Overall it was so amazing! We are so grateful for The Post! It was so affordable which allowed us to come to Israel. The only thing I would highly recommend is mattress pads/covers. It felt really gross sleeping on a mattress without a mattress pad or cover. Also to monitor the teenage guests better. There were 2 teenage groups that came while were there and they kept us up until really late being loud in the hallways. It didn't seem like there was any staff controlling the situation.

Ten hostel był jednym z najgorszych w moim życiu pleśń,grzyb na ścianach i brudne ściany oraz pościel, drzwi od pokoju nie tłumiły w ogóle dźwięków na śniadanie był bardzo mały wybór płatki i jajko ;( zdecydowanie odradzam za taką cenę jaką chcą za łóżko w pokoju wieloosobowym.

I been staying in hostels for many years the post is the best of any of the ones I stayed I am grateful for the post every time I come to Israel This is my new home

Very cool vibe here, and excellent location. It’s easy to walk pretty much anywhere and the hostel is very close to the bus. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and I appreciated having a curtain. The outdoor seating area is also beautiful.

Very high quality hostel in a great location if you want to walk to the old city. I've been twice and will be back again. The beds have plugs and night lights. The wifi at the hostel is pretty good.

Bring a lock, a towel, and a pillow. If you can a small fan. People who snore need to be put in the same room. People who are sick or use drugs or drink heavily need to be addressed as well. It served the purpose. Sleep was inadequate. The bed was too hard for a peaceful sleep.

I recommend this hostel because of the security I was insured. I felt very comfortable with everyone, and it is very close to all the hotspots that you would want to visit. I would definitely stay here again. The next time I visit.

We had what we needed - comfortable rooms, walking distance from Holy Sepulchre, space for socializing. Even got a hairdryer when asked at the reception. We got a really good deal for the private rooms, really happy we got to stau there. Thanks!

I live outside the city and only came to stay here because an acquaintance was here. I stayed in room 43 which is a mixed dorm. I was willing to overlook the crazy man in the bunk above me who the staff threw out. I was willing to overlook the fact that I mentioned several times the bathroom door doesn’t close in a male/female dorm. But the last day I was here the cleaning man came to wake me up at 9AM to tell me I needed to check out in an hour. I understood when I came what the checkout time...

This was my second time to stay at the Post Hostel. Key points why I returned, 1) value for money 2) great location 3) clean enough considering 10 people share a dorm room 4) bed curtains 4) staff I had interactions with were very kind and friendly, but one not so much. Staff behaviour towards guests does make a big difference. Fortunately, the good outweighed one negative 5) free bag storage One negative: the hostel does not provide any cooking facilities, not even a microwave.

Charging 20 shekels for the use of a towel is so unfair. It is included in the almost all hotels and hotels.

Overall a decent hostel. The issue is that the hostel doesn’t have much of a social vibe. Most people keep to themselves and don’t socialize. The rooms and hallways are clean and smell nice. The bathroom can be improved, the ventilation is not good enough to help eliminate the smell after someone finishes their business. Also the toilet seat is way too thick, even a tall person will struggle to sit on the toilet; the seat is at least the width of a soda can.

Saubere Unterkunft und super ist, dass man seine Schlafsaalbetten mit einem Vorhang verschließen kann. Leider war es hier um Gegensatz zu anderen Hostelb schwer, andere Reisende kennenzulernen.

Hostel location fantastic. Common room fantastic and spacious. Bed comfy and privacy curtain handy. Bathroom and toilet clean, shower a bit leaky on the floor however worked fine. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Only issue was having to pay for a towel,i had my own. Very happy would stay again! Very quiet hostel in terms of atmosphere

A very clean but very sterile hostel which had the atmosphere of a large, impersonal hotel. Certainly not a place to go if you want to meet other backpackers. In the main lounge area, people were sitting around in their own little bubbles. But the bunk beds were very solid and comfortable, WiFi was excellent; free hot water was available but it would be nice to have free coffee or tea which seems to be the norm these days in many hostels around the world.
